Duncan is the main character of the critically-acclaimed 2013 comedy The Way Way Back.

Duncan is a 14-year-old boy who reluctantly goes on a summer vacation with his mother, Pam, his stepfather, Trent, and his sister, Steph, to a seaside town in Cape Cod. He struggles with his parents' divorce and his stepfather's emotional abuse. Duncan makes friends with a drunkard, Betty, and her teenage daughter Suzanna. He also volunteers at a water park with a friendly worker named Owen and over the course of the film, rises above his pain and sees the power within himself.
