Durotan was the father of Thrall and the leader of the Frostwolf clan.
History[]
After his father passed away, Durotan was chosen to lead the Frostwolf despite being the youngest son. His oldest brother mysterious disappeared and his other brother was too aggressive to be a leader. Durotan realized something was wrong when their shamans lost connection with the elements. Although he opposed Gul'dan's position, he didn't want to attract attention so he reluctantly allowed Drek'Thar and the Frostwolf shaman to train as warlocks.
He later noticed Gul'dan's crimes and met with his friend Orgrim Doomhammer to confront the warlock. He told his friend about Gul'dan's deal with the demons and the Shadow Council. Orgrim vowed to help his friend to fight Gul'dan and sent Durotan to a safe haven. It was later revealed that some of Orgrim's warriors were spies of Gul'dan including the guard that escorted Durotan. The spies summoned assassins to attack Durotan and his wife. Durotan was killed but was relieved that his son would safe from the wild creatures.
