Dylan Dog is the titular main protagonist of Dylan Dog comic books.

He was created by Tiziano Scalvi.

Overview[]

Dylan is a paranormal investigator, who investigates paranormal cases happening all over the world, but mainly in England, London, where he lives. He was once a Scotland Yard policeman, but his crippling alcoholism caused him leave his job and start a new life as a a private investigator with a focus on the paranormal. Because of his job, he encounters all sorts of creatures, such as werewolves, vampires, zombies, other undead beings, sea monsters, demons, devils etc. He also has an assistant named Groucho, his best friend and a comic relief of the series.

Personality[]

Dylan has a lot of phobias, f.e he is afraid of heights, modern technology, traveling, claustrophobia (afraid of narrow and crammed spaces) and bats. He is also a vegetarian and doesn't drink alcohol. In almost every single issue he falls in love with a new woman, however these relationships don't last long, due to woman breaking up with Dylan, or gets killed by the main villain of said issue. Dylan also heavily against violence, trying to solve his problems in the most peaceful way possible, and only using it when necessary.
