Biography[]
Background[]
Eitri and Brokk are dwarven brothers and smiths born in Midgard. By the time of Fall of the Trident, their respective ages are 99 and 218 years. Eitri has believed himself to be a true hero ever since learning of his distant relationship to Thialfi, a servant of Thor. Timid by nature, he is scared to death of trolls and anything with sharp teeth and pig eyes, but will do all that is required of him to help prevent Ragnarok from ever becoming a reality. His elder brother Brokk in turn is a statesman and reluctant hero of the dwarves. Despite his unwillingness to be a leader, he takes it upon himself to help maintain the Norse way of life for his people.
The Golden Gift[]
Years before the events of Fall of the Trident, the dwarven brothers live in two separate parts of the Norselands away from their forge beneath mountains. An old man named Skult meets with both dwarves and tells them that their brother is planning to build a giant golden boar as a gift for the god Freyr. The brothers have been planning this project together for years and both are enraged to think that the other would betray their brother's trust like this. Refusing to let each other claim all the glory, they quickly travel to the forge, with Brokk having to trespass through the territory of the savage frost giant Folstag and Eitri navigating his way through raider-infested waters.
After making their way to the forge, Eitri and Brokk fight over its custody and race to build the boar. After the boar is complete, the brothers confront each other over their feelings of being betrayed. Skult then walks in, reveals himself to be Loki and steals the boar. Realizing they were both tricked, Eitri and Brokk unite to take the boar back. After fighting their way through Loki's lands, they successfully reclaim their boar and give it to Freyr who is pleased by the offering.
Fall of the Trident[]
While Arkantos and his friends are looking for a way into Midgard to find and Gargarensis' plans, Eitri and Brokk have recently lost their forge in an invasion by giants. Uncertain of the motives of the heroes, they spy on them to help make their minds up. As they become increasingly desperate, Amanra confronts them for spying, yet invites them to speak to Arkantos. Arkantos is initially reluctant to defer from his mission to stop Gargarensis, but when Eitri confirms Chiron's suggestion that the forge is connected to tunnels leading to Midgard, Arkantos agrees to help the dwarves. They succeed in recapturing the forge, and the dwarven brothers escort the heroes to Midgard. They part ways with the heroes, but continue to follow them secretly after learning that their path likely leads them to Niflheim, the Norse Underworld. They have been tasked with crafting a new hammer for Thor to replace the one Loki has destroyed to rob the god of his power. The reason they don't just join Arkantos' group is because they must be careful of Loki's tricks.
By the time the heroes, now joined by Reginleif, reach the Well of Urd, the passage to Niflheim, Eitri and Brokk have crafted a hammer head for Thor's new hammer. After the heroes enter Niflheim to stop Gargarensis from opening the Hades Gate, the dwarves follow them soon after. Eitri splits from Brokk, taking the hammer head with him to keep it safe, and Brokk begins crafting the haft by ordering his dwarves to cut a piece of a giant taproot of the World Tree Yggdrasil. He re-encounters the heroes who have been forced to fall back from the Tartarus Gate at the cost of Chiron's life. Regaining hope from the knowledge that Thor can seal the gate with a new hammer, they protect the dwarves as they cut the haft, and Eitri arrives in time for them to finish just as they become overwhelmed by Gargarensis' forces and the Hades Gate is opened. The hammer is rebuilt, and Thor successfully seals the gate with it, resulting in a big expolsion that sends the heroes back to the surface.
Back in Midgard, Gargarensis prepares a counter-attack by sending his army in the direction of the heroes. The dwarven brothers guide the heroes to the abandoned mining town of Draupnir to set up for a final stand, just in time for the enemy to arrive. They survive long enough before Odysseus arrives with a great army, and they defeat Gargarensis' forces. Eitri, Brokk and Reginleif stay in the Norselands as the victorious heroes set sail towards Atlantis.
Pillars of the Gods[]
Having passed away, Eitri and Brokk's heroics in preventing Ragnarok has earned them a place in Valhalla. After the fallen Chinese hero Huang Zhaowu destroys the Celestial Pillars, the afterlives of different civilizations are fused together. Eitri and Brokk are dragged from Valhalla into a section of the Chinese underworld Diyu where they reunite with the also deceased Ajax. They examine a powerful energy barrier that bars them from the rest of Diyu before a Chinese hero named Yan Feifeng appears. After being told that he's searching for Nüwa's Stones, the only means to restore the Pillars and save all realities, Ajax and the dwarven brothers immediately volunteer to help him. To this end, they retrieve four of the five Stones from the shattered underworlds of the Greek, Egypt, Norse and Atlantean civilizations. Brokk and Eitri are out of focus in the Egyptian (where they are joined by Setna) and Atlantean underworlds, but when Ajax mentions strange statues in the remnants of Erebus, Brokk suggests breaking the statues to see if one of the Stones is inside one of them, and this turns out to be the case. Upon entering the wreckage of Niflheim, the dwarven brothers take charge in navigating it. Halogi, king of the fire giants, is using one of the Stones to strengthen himself in his eternal war against Folstag who has redeemed himself since the events of Fall of the Trident. Eitri and Brokk decide that helping Folstag beat Halogi is their best chance to claim the Stone, so the heroes strengthen Folstag's army by finding his Frost Giants, freeing captive dwarves, and securing Dwarven Forges for more powerful equipment. They manage to defeat Halogi and recover the Stone.
After acquiring all but one Stone, the heroes enter the sealed section of Diyu where Xiaoli, Huang Zhaowu's late wife, is holding the final Stone before she is summoned by her husband to the mortal realm. After Nüwa's Stones restore the Pillars, Yan Feifeng returns with Ajax, Eitri and Brokk to the mortal realm to stop Huang Zhaowu once and for all. While Yan Feifeng and his friends Cangjie and Houyi are working to summon the god Xingtian to battle Chiyou, the god of war who's been enslaved by Huang Zhaowu, Ajax and his dwarven friends rally their armies to slow Chiyou down. Ajax's Greek troops serve as the first force of defense, while Eitri and Brokk's Norse forces are the second one and Nüwa's followers the third one. After Xingtian arrives and defeats Chiyou, Huang Zhaowu and Xiaoli are cornered by the heroes. Because Huang Zhaowu is immortal, Yan Feifeng imprisons him and his wife inside the artifact called the God Trap. With the entire world returned to its proper state, Eitri, Brokk and their other deceased friends return to their deserved rest in their respective afterlives.

Brokk's "Armor Smithing" ability in turn increases all resistance of units around him, though the higher the unit resistance is, the lower the bonus is.
