Elaine is Mimi Mortin's best friend like the titular character is 11 years old. She and Russell are often annoyed by Mimi's plans but tends to go along with them. She is a vegetarian and an animal lover, owning various pets that she takes care of. She can be argumentative with Mimi at times but the two still respect each other and Elaine still looks up to Mimi.
