Elder Kettle is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside Ms. Chalice) in the Netflix animated series The Cuphead Show!. Like his video game counterpart, he is the caretaker of Cuphead and Mugman.

He was voiced by Joe Hanna.

Appearance[]

Elder Kettle is a grey and purple, anthropomorphic tea kettle with a spout nose and a chip-like mustache. He wears a pair of red slippers, yellow gloves, glasses that sit on his spout nose, and usually carries around a brown cane.

Personality[]

In The Cuphead Show!, Elder Kettle is portrayed more comical than his video game counterpart. He has a tendency to overreact or become hostile over misunderstandings and is easily agitated whenever Cuphead and Mugman fight. He seems to try and discipline the brothers by making them do chores, although he is aware that they might not listen to him and get into mischief, in which case he might either let their antics slide (claiming "boys will be boys.") or become angry or enraged over their misbehavior. However, despite their mischief, Elder Kettle loves the siblings and happily takes care of them, helping them if they are distraught. He can also get worried over what they think of him. When left to his own devices, Elder Kettle likes to tend to his garden, take a nap in his upstairs bedroom, and listen to his prized radio.

Biography[]

In "Carn-Evil", Elder Kettle was cooking breakfast and then tell Cuphead and Mugman to paint the fence but then when Cuphead and Mugman ran out of paint, they were out to get more but then ended up going to a carnival. After when they didn't finish in time, Elder Kettle is about to go home after. But then they didn't finish in time after when Cuphead become an expert of Soulball before they started running.
