|~ Elice to Malledus|
Elice is a protagonist of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light , Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, and their respective remakes Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. As the daughter of King Cornelius and Queen Liza, Elice is the Princess of Altea, as well as the older sister of Prince Marth.
Elice is a young woman with long blue hair and blue eyes. In Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, she wears a gold tiara, a gold necklace, and a short pink and light blue tunic with a pink waist ribbon. From Mystery of the Emblem onward, she wears a full white dress with a blue waist.
Elice is a calm woman who cares deeply for her family. Beneath Elice's composure is incredible bravery, as demonstrated when she stayed in Altea during an enemy attack to safeguard someone else's escape twice. Elice also has secret feelings for Merric, a mage and mutual friend of Elice and Marth since childhood.
War of Shadows
When the Kingdom of Gra betrayed Altea and captured its castle for the Dolhr Empire, Elice choses to stay behind to ensure that Marth was able to escape. Elice also tried to find her mother Liza, only to be imprisoned by the Dolhr Manakete Morzas, who previously killed the queen and stationed himself as the occupying leader of Altea. Morzas would have also killed Elice if not for the Dark Pontifex Gharnef, who needed her clerical magic for his own purposes. Taking her to the city of Thabes, Gharnef forced her to wield the powerful Aum staff and resurrect Dolhr's fallen soldiers. After a long campaign across Archanea, Marth acquired the Starlight tome, which could counter Gharnef's powerful Imhullu tome, and slew the wicked sorcerer. The now freed Elice supported Marth's army with her clerical magic until he struck down Dolhr's leader, the tyrannical Earth Dragon Medeus. With the War of Shadows at a close, Elice supported her brother as he devoted himself to Altea's recovery.
War of Heroes
One year after the end of the War of Shadows, Marth received a request from his old ally during the War of Shadows, Hardin, who had since become Emperor of the Holy Kingdom of Archanea after marrying Princess Nyna. Hardin requested that Marth assist with quelling a rebellion in the Archanean-occupied kingdom of Grust. Marth could not refuse, as Archenea held power over Altea, so he travelled to Grust and left Elice at the Altea castle. With Marth and his best soldiers distracted, Hardin ordered an invasion of Altea. Once again, Elice stayed behind so that someone else, in this case Marth's fiancee Caeda, could escape. Captured by the Archanean Empire, Elice was eventually offered to Gharnef again, who brainwashed her along with Nyna, Princess Maria, and the cleric Lena to help resurrect Medeus. After another long campaign across the continent, Marth reached the Dragon's Table, where the ritual had taken place. Medeus, now in the form of a Shadow Dragon, intended to consume the four maidens as sacrifices. However, each cleric snapped out of her trance after conversing with a loved one. For Elice, it was the mage Merric, who secretly loved her, and she him. With all maidens awoken, Marth slew Medeus once and for all. The War of Heroes devastated most of the kingdoms of Archanea, causing most of their rulers to give their sovereignity to Marth. As Marth declared himself the first King of the Archanean Alliance, Elice founded a magic academy at Altean castle, and eventually married Merric.
Fire Emblem Heroes
A winter variant of Elice, paired with Marth as the Royal Altean Duo, was made available to summon on December 16, 2019. Elice wears a white dress with fur trim, red and blue scarves, and a crown of holly on her head.
Fire Emblem OVA
Elice appears in the first episode of the two episode OVA, based on the first three chapters and some backstory of Mystery of the Emblem. Her role is similar to the early part of the game, as she uses her magic to warp Marth to safety when Altea castle is overrun, staying behind in the process.
