Ellis is a supporting protagonist in the Netflix TV Show The Dragon Prince. She is girl of a human village close to the Cursed Caldera, where she found an injured pup she called Ava two years before the events of the story, who was "healed" by Lujanne.
She is voiced by Nahanni Mitchel.
Biography[]
Ellis came from a poor family, and started working with her town's doctor to get money for her and her family. One day, she found a cub trapped in a bear trap in the middle of a snow storm and freed her and took her to the doctor, with him saying to her that her injuries would kill her sooner or later.
After finding out about a story that there was a healer in the Cursed Caldera, Ellis decided to go there so the healer could save Ava's life, after going through a cave, Ellis would fall asleep out of tiredness, and Lujanne appeared and saved Ava, although she was forced to remove her injured leg, so she created an illusion so they would see and touch her leg like it was there.
Years later, Ellis would meet with Ezran and Callum, who wanted to find someone to heal the egg of the Dragon Prince, so Ellis showed them the way to go to the Cursed Caldera. During this, a giant leech tried to kill them, so Callum, Ellis and Ava had to climb on top of a giant rock, while Ezran and Rayla stayed on top of a tree.
When they were waiting for the leech to leave, Callum and Ellis would talk about how the former was a mage, but he didn't see himself as that, and Ellis told him that even though he wasn't what she thought a mage looked like, he was still a mage regardless.
After the leech left, they got down and remet, with the leech appearing right behind, but they worked togheter and defeat it. After getting to the Moon Nexus, Lujanne appeared with Phoe-Phoe, with team Zym asking for her to heal Azymondias' egg, but Lujanne told them that she could heal it, and that she wasn't a healer.
Understanding this, Ellis asked how she was able to save Ava, with Lujanne telling her that her leg was fake and that she never truly needed it to be happy. Callum then was able to make the egg hatch by creating a storm, with Rayla saving it before it fell of the mountain.
Team Zym would then stay in the Moon Nexus for one day, and Lujanne gave them breakfast, and while it looked like she made multiple types of food, Lujanne reveals that they were eating grubs, with Ellis being the only one who didn't truly cared about it.
Ellis would then help Ezran teach Azymondias how to fly, with them failing to achieve it. After Claudia and Soren appeared in the Moon Nexus and tried to kidnap Azymondias, Ezran, and Callum, Ava faked running away to make it look like she left them, while in reality was to trick them, as the Azymondias, Ezran and Callum they captured were illusions made by Lujanne. After they escaped from Claudia and Soren, Ellis said goodbye to them and told them not to forget her.

- Ellis means benevolent in Welsh.
- Ironicaly, Ellis and Ava never reappeared since season 2, despite the former telling Team Zym not to forget her, which means they did to an extent.
