Elmer J. Fudd is a major character of the Looney Tunes franchise. He is a rabbit hunter who is one of Bugs Bunny's arch-enemies.
History
Elmer is the arch- nemesis of Bugs Bunny in the Bugs Bunny cartoons and was the most recurring enemy of Bugs.
Elmer was willing to try and kill Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, and his actions often lead Bugs to trick him in many way.
In the 1996 Looney Tunes movie, Space Jam, Elmer Fudd is a member of a team called The Toon Squad.
In The Looney Tunes Show, Elmer Fudd is occasionally a news reporter.
He was one of the villains in Looney Tunes: Back in Action, working for Mr. Chairman.
Despite being an antagonist, Elmer Fudd is not truly evil, and sometimes has good intentions. Elmer was also considered too soft to be a true threat which was the reason why Yosemite Sam and Marvin the Martian were created as Bugs Bunny's new enemies.

- In Space Jam, Elmer Fudd was part of a team called The Toon Squad and he helped defeat the Nerdlucks/Monstars.
- In a couple of classic episodes, Elmer and Bugs work together, like where the hunt needs to be called off because someone is destroying the forest and they both want to preserve the environmentor.
- In some non-Bugs shorts, he is a farmer who is trying to keep a functional environment to deal with pests, bizarre toon logic and Foghorn Leghorn trying to take advantage of him.
- In a New Looney Tunes episode called Bugs Bunny Saves The Universe, he helped save the universe.
- In a New Looney Tunes episode called Planet of the Bigfoots, he helped save the GoobaGoobas.

Trivia
- In a Looney Tunes Christmas song called Christmas Rules, Elmer Fudd's line was cut out, however, his line was "Candy cane self-medicating" but said it in a different voice.
