Engel is a major character in both the Kaaatie universe and the Fundamental Paper Education series, serving as the deuteragonist of Basics in Behavior. He is currently a student who attends Paper School.
Appearance[]
Engel has long white hair which is tied up in a low ponytail. He has two feathers atop his head, which are mainly blue and orangish-red. He wears a short-sleeved white collared shirt with red and blue stripes on the left sleeve, along with black overalls. He has black arms with claw-like hands with four fingers, and also a small white tail. His outfit is completed with blue and red striped leg warmers, as well as black heeled shoes.

Engel appears to be very kind and caring, willing to go to extreme measures to protect those he cares for, as shown in Basics in Behavior, when he risks his life to save Claire from Miss Circle.

Basics in Behavior[]
In Miss Circle's class, Engel looked annoyed at Oliver, Edward, and Zip because of them throwing paper airplanes and trash towards Claire. In the library, Claire and Engel talked, before Edward uses his drone to pick up Claire and tosses her down in a hole. Engel later holds off Miss Circle's compass and prevents her from killing Claire, telling Claire to run. He's then thrown against the wall. Upon seeing Claire's corpse, he turned distraught seeing her in such a horrific state.
