~ Eno Cordova´s last words before being shot to death by Bode Akuna. |
Cordova was an esteemed Master of the Jedi Order active during the Fall of the Republic. Over the course of his life Cordova expressed great interest in the ancient civilizations of the galaxy. As an old man, Eno took on a Padawan learner named Cere Junda who would later pass the Jedi Trials and become a fully-fledged Jedi Knight.
In the final years of the Republic, Cordova became obsessed with the Zeffo, a long-lost alien civilization that had a deep connection to the Force. While meditating on the planet Bogano, Cordova experienced a vision of the Jedi Order's destruction and the rise of Darth Sidious's Galactic Empire.
Eno hid a holocron containing the locations of Force-sensitive children in the hopes that another Jedi would protect the younglings from the Empire and eventually reforge the Jedi Order. Ultimately, Jedi Knight Cal Kestis was able to retrieve the holocron thanks to the support of Cordova's former apprentice Junda, although he destroyed it so that the fates of the children would be guided by the Force.
In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor He is revealed to have survived the Jedi Purge, having been away from his troops when Order 66 was issued. Cordova reunited with his former apprentice in the years in between both games, helping Cere in her founding and training of the Hidden Path as well as her venture to rebuild the Jedi Archive in an old temple on Jedha. During this time Cere filled Cordova in on Kestis' actions and of his choice to destroy the holocron due to the risk involved with it, which Cordova seems to have approved of. Cordova spent his free time on Jedha studying the ruins of the planet's many ancient force religions. Cordova also became acquainted with the Nightsister Merrin, whom he developed a close friendship with and assisted her in her missions against the Imperial forces on the planet.
Cordova later finally met Cal Kestis in person when the latter came to Jedha looking for help with dealing with the fallen Jedi Master Dagan Gera and deciphering the messages left behind by Jedi Master Santari Khri, which revealed the existence of Tanalorr, a planet seated in a massive ship-eating Nebula that Gera hoped to use a stronghold against the Empire. During this time Cordova often conversed with Kestis and offered him advise and wisdom, as well as sending him in the direction of Jedha's many ruins in hope that Kestis would gain the same benefit from them that he had. He also befriended and worked alongside the former Jedi Bode Akuna, who came to Jedha with Kestis.
Kestis eventually defeated Dagan Gera and came back to Jedha looking for Cordova's help in fixing a compass device needed to reach Tanalorr. Kestis expressed a hope to use Tanalorr a potential stronghold for a rebellion, not knowing of Bode Akuna's disagreement with his plans. Akuna secretly informed Darth Vader of the Archive's location, With the Sith Lord bring a massive assault upon the compound. Akuna killed Cordova in a moment of desperation during the assault, with Kestis giving chase.
Cordova was later burned on a pyre on Tanalorr by his surviving friends.
He is portrayed by Tony Amendola.
