Ercule Hastings is a police inspector for Scotland Yard, from Layton's Mystery Journey. He often calls upon private detective Katrielle Layton to help Scotland Yard solve various cases. He is dedicated to his job of keeping London safe, and is also happily married to Felicity Hastings.
Appearance[]
Ercule is a middle-aged man who has a slender build and light skin complexion. He also has short brown hair. He wears a brown detective uniform.
Personality[]
Despite being somewhat of a "bumbling oath", Hastings is incredibly dedicated to helping the people of London, and is respected by the populous for this reason. When Hastings forgot to get Felicity a birthday president, Katrielle sends 186 certain London households letters, telling them to turn their lights on at the end of the bank holiday night if they want to help "one of London's most faitful servants, Inspecting Hastings, CID". The lit up houses spells out the message, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY FELICITY".
