Erina Joestar (née Pendleton) is a major character in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise. She is a major protagonist of Part I: Phantom Blood and a supporting character of Part II: Battle Tendency.
She is Jonathan Joestar's love interest and later on his wife, mother to George Joestar II, and grandmother and guardian to Joseph Joestar.
She is voiced by Michelle Ruff and shares her voice with Rukia Kuchiki in Bleach. In the Japanese version, she is voiced by Aya Hisakawa in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood, Nana Mizuki in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood and Ayako Kawasumi in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Physical Appearance[]
Erina is a pretty fair-skinned young girl with blonde hair that is kept in a ponytail and light blue eyes.
During Battle Tendency, Erina has aged, though she doesn't have many wrinkles despite being in her 70s and she now wears glasses obscuring her eyes.
History[]
Phantom Blood[]
A childhood friend of Jonathan's, and for a time his only friend due to Dio's attempts to ruin his life. While they grow apart, again, due to Dio's actions, she rekindles their relationship by tending to Jonathan after his and Dio's encounter in the Joestar mansion leading to a romance and eventual marriage.
Battle Tendency[]
Years later, Erina and Joseph travel to New York on Speedwagon's invitation. Like Joseph, Erina gladly makes Smokey Brown feel welcome as she invites him to a downtown Italian restaurant. On the way, Erina hits Joseph for jokingly insinuating that she and Speedwagon are more than old friends.
Death[]
Erina died due to natural causes In 1950 at age of 81.
