Espella Cantabella is a character from Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. During the events of the game, she is accused of witchcraft. Phoenix Wright has to defend her in the various Witch Trials of the game. She is the daughter of Arthur Cantabella, who is know as the "Story Teller".
Personality[]
Espella is shown to be a kind and gentle person. She has deep trust in others and was willing to risk her life to save those she cares about such as suffering.
Before the Great Witch Bezella trial, she has suppressed her memories at a young age such as the Legendary Fire. She would enter a dull gazed like statue when she get's reminded of Bezella becoming very distant and unfocussed to his surroundings. In the state she was naive to implication, and it was trusted that if promoted even further she would reach an nearly unaware state. This condition continued from youth just before the meddling of Layton and Phoenix Wright admitted her to challenge and interpret her thoughts of the Legendary Fire that was the beginning of her anguish. Upon uncovering that Labyrinthia was formed for her well-being, she damned herself for the pain all has sustained and enhanced so upset that she tried to commit suicide in spite of her father's defenses, even though her attempt was stopped.
