Espresso Cookie is a supporting character in the mobile game Cookie Run Kingdom. He is an esteemed pioneer and proponent of Coffee magic, he goes through many restless nights due to researching and experimenting. He is a mage that occasionally teaches classes on Coffee magic at the Parfaedia.
He plays a big role in Madeleine Cookie story, Couldn't Care Less... And Yet quest line. He also appears in the Parfaedia Institude Event as the professor of the Theorems of Coffee magic, which is an advanced class. He plays a supporting role in The Expedition To Protect Earthland and is a Soul Jam's researcher in the Cookie Odyssey.
He is the magic type and is prioritized in the middle. His English voice actor is Zach Aguilar, Komada Wataru in Japanese, Park Yo-han in Korean, Fu Shuang in Taiwanese, Ruchira Khachicharoen in Thai, Martin Sabel in German, and Jonathan GIMBORD in French.
Personality[]
Espresso Cookie is a perfectionist that expects so much from others including himself. He's a serious intelligent cookie that does things with absolute precision. He speaks in a calm and formal accent and is often brief with words, sometimes even making him sound a little rude. Despite of usually being seen with a confident smile, he doesn't hide his displeasure and exhaustion. He is able to be polite in conversations with other cookies, and takes interest in their actions, such as when he asked to read a report on Alchemist Cookie's reagents.
He is a well respected mage but tends to be prideful about his expertise, though he also remains open to outside suggestions as long as they are constructive. Espresso Cookie refuses to allow any margin of error, according to Latte Cookie, his old friend, he hates co-research projects, this may extend to all tasks requiring cooperation that he decided to be separate from Madeleine Cookie instead of working with him. Whatsoever, he is still capable of teaming up if the situation demands; him carrying Madeleine Cookie back to the kingdom after the both were injured during the Couldn't Care Less... And Yet Story shows that he is an honorable and good hearted.
As a perfectionist, he tends to be a workaholic and is able to stay awake for days, which frequently results in eventual fatigue. This leads to a negative affect of self-neglect, and intentionally even drives his students away from his class so he can focus more on his research and so he can able to perfect Coffee Magic.
Espresso Cookie harbors strong contempt towards light magic. the Crème Republic between the Upper City tends to worship light, and Espresso Cookie grew up in a poor hometown that could make him think this way. Espresso also doesn't like milk because he doesn't like the combination of Coffee and milk together which caused Latte Cookie and him to fight.
Powers/Abilities[]
• Pyrokinesis - Espresso Cookie’s ability to manipulate fire to his will.
• Transmutation - Although not frequently displayed, Espresso Cookie has shown to change his appearance at will, this has most likely happened during the Cookie Odyssey ceremony to which he immediately was able to change his eye colour, hair length, hair colour and outfit at will.
• Mavri-Trypakinesis (Black Hole Manipulation) - Espresso Cookie’s ability to create destructive spells not unlike black holes from his magic, this also could link in with gravity manipulation, as the spells manipulate the area around him.
• Spell/Magical Creation - This refers to Espresso Cookie’s creation of coffee magic, in only a short amount of time, and his consistent adjustments to perfect it. There is a very high chance that he has the power to weave and create his own spells considering that it is his own magic after all.
• Flight and Levitation - Espresso Cookie is one of the only cookies in Cookie Run: Kingdom (or Cookie Run in general, possibly) to possess the ability of true flight, showing that he uses his magic which allows him to do so.
• Rune/Sigil Manipulation - Espresso Cookie’s spells typically contain patterns and symbols, especially in the shape of eyes. This also links in with magical spell creation due to Espresso Cookie being able to create, cast and manipulate his own sigils and their designs. When these particular sigils are cast, they can be incredibly deadly.
- Eclair Cookie refers to Espresso Cookie as "Professor" and states that Espresso Cookie's office was right next to his.
- Espresso dyes his hair according to the Almond Cookie case files.
- Espresso Cookie has the ability to float above the ground due to his magic.
- Espresso was released in the first update and the first cookie to be in Featured Cookie in the Gacha.
- The fact that Espresso Cookie never sleeps is a reference to how coffee keeps one awake.
- Espresso Cookie is stated to have owned a school vaguely named the Coffee Magic School. However, no such place has been mentioned or seen in any Cookie Run: Kingdom story.
