~ Falcon saw that Cobra, who was supposed to be dead, was still alive. |
Falcon is the protagonist of Silent Scope series. His real name, age, and everything else is a mystery, but he's always cracking down on terrorist plots.
Biography[]
Silent Scope[]
He started sniping for the president a long time ago. He encountered Cobra, a mercenary, on a mission and managed to defeat him. This led Cobra to view Falcon as an enemy. Falcon was involved in the rescue effort when a terrorist group tried to kidnap the president's family.
First, he dealt with the enemy at the scene, then he confronted Scorpion or his brother in the Tower Building or Air Battle to save the First Lady or shot Cobra in the Stadium as she tried to kidnap the president's daughter and escape.
If Cobra is killed first, Falcon will proceed to the hotel, which is surrounded by police, to rescue the first lady kidnapped by Hornet. Falcon first killed Hornet's minions, then engaged him directly, eventually killing him, and the first lady was rescued.
If Scorpion or his brother is killed first, Falcon will be in a car on the highway to stop Cobra from taking the president's daughter. After killing Cobra, he was shown not to be dead, but to have robbed a truck and tried to run down Falcon, who succeeded in killing Cobra.
After that, Falcon accompanied the US army into the villa of the leader of the terrorist group. Whether sneaking in through the forest or using a parachute, Falcon managed to power down the villa. He then confronted Tom & Jerry, one with a crossbow and the other with a knife but failed to defeat Falcon's sniper rifle.
Because the US army were fighting the enemy, Falcon was temporarily cut off from them and entered the villa alone. After coming all the way to the warehouse, he and the leader's personal guard Monica sell some bullet. Although Monica had armor all over her body, when her armor came off, she was killed by Falcon.
The Bulletproof glass was taunting Falcon aggressively from behind, but Falcon broke the glass, forcing leader to use the cruise ship to escape.
If Falcon hits leader in the head with his last bullet, leader's boat will crash uncontrollably into the rock and explode. The president was rescued by Falcon and praised Falcon for saying he was the man to be dealt with every time there was danger.
If Falcon is not hit, leader will activate the bomb, the entire villa will be blown to pieces, the president will be killed, and the mission will fail.
Silent Scope 2: Dark Silhouette[]
In London in 1999, Falcon was commissioned to prevent a terrorist group from obtaining the country's top-secret documents. After successfully stopping and witnessing the escape of the leader of the terrorist group, he met with another mercenary, Jackal, in an unfriendly manner and was even referred to by Jackal as "The government's dog”.
However, after the turn of the millennium, Falcon was again commissioned by the British government. This time, it was to stop the terrorist organization that had failed to steal the country's top secrets from obtaining poison gas bombs from supposedly abandoned laboratories. But he will be paired up with Jackal, who also appeared in the previous operation, because Jackal's sister Laura has also been kidnapped.
On the move, Jackal enters from the front, while Falcon attacks from the snow-capped mountains nearby. Eventually the two merged and entered the building to carry out a "Metal Gear” attack. In pursuit of Renegade Alpha Team member Fox, they were blocked by flamethrower Tanya. They fought a battle, but Tanya lost to two men. Jackal and Falcon Chase Fox over and over again to clear the enemy they are trying to block. Jackal intercepted Fox on the road, and Falcon backed him up from up high. Although Fox had two submachine guns and his men, he was eventually shot off a cliff. The missiles are safe.
Next, they went to Gatwick Airport to stop a terrorist group from hijacking a military plane. However, Falcon was shocked to see that the man in charge of the hijacking was Cobra, the monster who was supposed to be dead, and Jackal was curious that Falcon knew this "Monster”. Cobra simply said that he had to kill Falcon himself to go to hell, then used the hostages as cover and threw large objects and grenades to kill the two men. However, he eventually could not withstand the pain of the bullet and fell to the ground.
Next, they went to a secret Armory in North Yorkshire controlled by a terrorist group and destroyed it. Jackal dived ahead despite Falcon's warning, and Falcon had to cover him from the boat. After landing, Falcon accused Jackal of ignoring the warning. But together they came to Armory's site, an abandoned church. Inside, they meet the Alpha Team member known as "The Collector" and his tank. Jackal and Falcon managed to disable the tanks because they could not be killed by the shells, forcing the fully armored collector to come out and return fire with submachine guns. However, he was successfully stripped of his armour by two men and killed in a tank explosion.
Following a tip from the collector, they went to the theatre in Birmingham to rescue the hostages. There they met members of the terrorist group known as “The Star” and his men. The Star uses the stage to trick two snipers into killing them, but in the end, he gets the opposite result. After The Star dies, the leader appears and places the bomb on the hostages. The two men defused the bomb, but it was actually a ploy used by the leader to buy time.
The leader took Laura to a secret base to prepare the missile for launch, and Jackal and Falcon found the site. They invaded the main entrance and the attic and eventually reached the core. Close-quarter combat hit men Sho and Kane wait for a long time, they are responsible for dealing with the two and cover the leader to escape. Despite their speed, Jackal and Falcon managed to kill them, and the leader fled to London Bridge in a helicopter with Laura.
The two men catch up with the leader, but the leader uses Laura to blackmail one of them to die. Falcon "Killed” Jackal in the encounter but was forced into the river by the chief's machine gun. Jackal, who was confirmed to have been hit by paintballs, picked up Falcon in a helicopter and went to the leader's hideout. Falcon hit the leader on the rope ladder, but because the leader was handcuffed to Laura, he tried to pull Laura down as he fell. Falcon broke the chain of his handcuffs with the last bullet he had left, causing the leader to fall to his death. Falcon says goodbye to Jackal and walks ahead with Laura.
If Falcon loses the battle, he's the one pulling Jackal up from the river. And when they said goodbye, Falcon walked alone. If she can't break the chain of the handcuffs, Laura will fall with the leader, meaning the mission will fail.
Silent Scope 3[]
Falcon was commissioned by Captain Robert of the British Navy to prevent terrorism, prevent smuggling through the ports, and destroy the smuggling freighter with a bomb. However, the appearance of Cobra once again shocked Falcon, and Cobra was still obsessed with killing Falcon in order to go to hell, so that he could use machine guns and rocket launchers to attack. Falcon managed to kill Cobra "Again,” but he wasn't sure if Cobra was really dead.
Later, he questioned why Robert would hire a freelancer instead of a professional sniper. Robert said his next mission -- to save Dr. Scott from cloning and stop a terrorist group from creating a clone army -- required stealth, so he turned to the enigmatic Falcon. Falcon accepts this delegate by default.
At the Research Lab, Falcon prevented terrorists from extracting files and attempting to take hostages, and fought Mosquito, who flew with a jet pack. Mosquito didn't beat Falcon. Instead, he was killed.
At Canal, Falcon prevented the terrorists from smuggling a large quantity of weapons out of the estuary and engaged Smith, who used a seaplane, but Smith could not avoid the destruction of the plane.
At the Casino, Falcon destroyed it to cut off terrorists' funding, and met Shaker, a member of the terrorist group who was the Casino's owner, who used the roulette wheel with the hostages and his men to confuse Falcon, but his plot was quickly discovered and killed.
At Dam, Falcon killed terrorists who tried to destroy the Dam and defused the bomb. He also met Head Bull. Bull tried to kill Falcon by throwing a stone from above. Instead, he was hit and fell from a height into a patty.
At the Oil Rig, Falcon destroyed Oil fields to weaken terrorist groups.Ray, who was technically inferior to Falcon, eventually went down with his helicopter.
At Fireworks, Falcon prevented the terrorist group from using the resources of the iron works to make weapons, and finally saw Charly driving a chariot with a rocket launcher. However, when Charly tried to hit Falcon with his car, he was hit in the head, causing the car to crash into the side and explode.
After most of the group's members had been eliminated, Robert told Falcon that their base of operations had been discovered on an island. Falcon went in alone and sought out the leader of the terrorist group but was replaced by a message from the leader. The leader did not reveal the doctor, but he said the Army Cloning Program was not far off. Having said that, he released the clone, known as "Stinger”, a Japanese general who had great leapfrogging power and speed and was able to make himself invisible. Still, Stinger was killed in action. Falcon managed to kill the leader before he left the soon-to-be-destroyed base in a space rocket, causing him to explode with the space rocket.
After making the list, however, Falcon emerged from the cave and met Robert, who had arrived with the submarine. He praised Falcon's abilities and began to reveal his true nature: he was the man behind the Army Cloning Program. The so-called mission to rescue Dr. Scott was a sham, and the real Dr. Scott was working on it in his lab. In order not to be suspected by the British government, Robert kidnapped Dr. Scott for his Army Cloning Program, and used Falcon to silence the terrorist group and dispel the government's suspicions. To stop Robert's plan, Falcon shot Robert in the head before he could take a shot, sending him screaming into the ocean. Since then, Falcon's whereabouts are unknown.
If Falcon fails to take down the leader of the terrorist group, the leader escapes and the mission fails. If the Falcon sniper fails on Robert, Robert's bullet will be aimed at Falcon.
Trivia[]
- In Silent Scope 2: Dark Silhouette, Falcon said, "Now Let's play 'Metal Gear' for real!" It is a reference to another game of the same name released by Konami. It's a tactical stealth game that dovetails with the way Jackal and Falcon then infiltrate the building.
- Given that Silent Scope 2 was originally released on the arcade on December 30,2000, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty was released on the PS2 on November 13,2001, this might have been a warm-up.
- Silent Scope 2 is the only game where Falcon plays as "Player 2”. In some arcade games, Player 2 usually represents a minor or co-lead, while Player 1 represents a major lead. Stories are often told from the perspective of Player 1(Thomas Rogan of The House of The dead or Bruno Delinger of Die-Hard Arcade, for example), so Silent Scope 2 is the only game to feature new character.
