Fearless Gallantpride was a young lion whoseved one of the three main protagonists of the first Arch of the book serise Bravelands writen by Erin Hunter
Biography[]
- In Broken Pride Fearless is introduced as "Swiftcub" Living in a pride lead by his father, Gallant. Swift teaches Swiftcub and his sister how to hunt.
Shortly after the hunting lesson, Swiftcub notches a scorpion creeping behind his father and swats the scorpion away. Gallant and Valor are proud of the cub's bravery while Swift is horrified and reprimands her son for putting his life on the line. Gallant decides that Swiftcub has come to an age where he'll be named. During the naming ceremony, Gallant names Swiftcub "Fearless" for his courage on dealing with the scorpion. However, Fearless's Celebration is short lived when the pride's lionesses roar in the distance. Fearless and the rest of his family go and see what's going on. The lion family spot a trio of prideless lions heading their way. Their leader is Titan who's the son of a lion
- Gallant once driven out and Titan hates Gallant for that reason. Titan has come back for revenge and to take over Gallantpride. When Gallant explains this to his family a confused Fearless asks how could Titan simply take over Gallantpride. Valor explains that male lions who have no pride of their own challenge the leader of a pride to gain it. If the prideless lion wins the pride becomes his while the previous leader is cast out. Valor cites the fate of Fericepride for example.
Adulthood[]
- 3 years after the death of Gallant, Fearless enters adulthood. During this time he reencounters Titan who has disbanded Titanpride and took over as leader of the Bloodheart Pack (Aka Wolfpride) (A sinister pack of Gold Wolves who have the ability to acquire the powers of other animals through the injestion of their hearts). During the ensuing fight, Titan reveals that he and his Gold Wolves have "killed" the Great Parent (Which was actually Berry masquerading as the Great-parent). Fearless and his pridemates then retreat and Fearless dicides to travel to Dawntrees to inform Berry of her mate's "death". When Fearless arrives at the Great Father Clearing however, he learns that Thorn is alive and well and that it was Berry who was killed. With Thorn's Help Fearless rally's several more allies and together they fight aganst Titan's forces.
Final Duel With Titan[]
- In the climax of the battle, Fearless has a one on one match his his archenemy. Titan appears to be winning, however when the evil Lion threatens to end the lives of his siter and nephews, Fearless gains enough strength and motivation to overcome Titan and kill him. However Fearless victory is short-live as he himself dies from his wounds soon after, however, Fearless dies peacefully.
