Leiter appears for the sixth time in EON Productions' 007 movie 1987 The Living Daylights.
He was portrayed by actor John Terry, the second of seven men to play the iconic role of Leiter officially on screen.
Film Biography[]
Leiter saves Bond from the Moroccan police in Tangier after he has been charged with the apparent murder of General Pushkin. He informs him that he has uncovered reports of Brad Whitaker and their relationship to General Koskov's plans. After Bond escapes Afghanistan, Leiter helps him infiltrate Whitaker’s mansion in Tangier where, with the help of General Pushkin, they capture and kill Koskov.
