Huckleberry Pie

Huckleberry Pie is a character from the Strawberry Shortcake series. He is the only major protagonist to be male in the series, although he wasn't meant to be, as Plum Puddin' in the 1980s is a minor character with female counterparts. Huckleberry Pie traces his roots to Huckleberry Finn from Huckleberry Finn, which led him to get a similar design in his original incarnations, though his later incarnations went with more modern looks.

1980s[]

In the 1980s, Huckleberry Pie tends to be somewhat lazy, although his later counterparts' energy can be seen in him. Huckleberry Pie does have standards, as shown by his reaction when Raspberry Tart revealed too much during her first appearance. He wears a purple long-sleeved shirt, straw hat, and blue dungaree, and thus resembles Huckleberry Finn, whose name Huckleberry Pie got his own from. His pet is a dog called Pupcake. Pupcake has brown fur and his ears are green with white stripes.

2003[]

In the 2003 series, Huckleberry Pie is shown to be slightly more active. He has lots of fun with his skateboard. His pet has also been changed. As Strawberry Shortcake herself now owns Pupcake (along with Custard the cat), Huckleberry Pie has his pet changed to a frog named Shoofly. Out of the girls, Peppermint Fizz became his nemesis despite her constant attempts to fit in, although this lessens over time in the final season.

Here, he is a 13 year old who loves Skateboarding, Huckleberry Pie lives in a fort in a place called Huckleberry Brair, His wild adobe features a skate park full of ramps and secret entrances, He has a pet frog named Shoofly, Huckleberry Pie's favorite colors are Blue and Green, He is known as one of Strawberry Shortcake's friends, Huckleberry pie and Strawberry shortcake talk on the phone together sometimes he seem to be the only boy in the gang.

2009[]

In the 2009 series, Huckleberry Pie appears as a relatively minor character. He doesn't live in Berry Bitty series like the others do, but does visit sometimes. His pet is a dog called Tom-tom who looks like Pupcake's original incarnations.

2021[]

Huckleberry Pie now appears as a freelance musician. Making his debut in Meet Huckleberry Pie, the character helps Strawberry Shortcake through the subway when she and her friend Lime Chiffon separate by mistake. Fortunately, they reunite and Huckleberry is brought into the Berryworks.
