Ark Royal is a character and one of the heroes from the Kantai Collection series who was implemented into the game on the 12th of August 2017, as the E-7 reward for the Summer 2017 Event.
She is based on the real life Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal (91).
She is the Fleet Girl counterpart to the European Princess.
She is voiced by Uchida Shuu and drawn by Konishi in the game.
Biography[]
HMS Ark Royal (91) was an aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy that served during the Second World War.
Designed in 1934 to fit the restrictions of the Washington Naval Treaty, Ark Royal was built by Cammell Laird at Birkenhead, England, and completed in November 1938. Her design differed from previous aircraft carriers. Ark Royal was the first ship on which the hangars and flight deck were an integral part of the hull, instead of an add-on or part of the superstructure. Designed to carry a large number of aircraft, she had two hangar deck levels. She served during a period that first saw the extensive use of naval air power; several carrier tactics were developed and refined aboard Ark Royal.
She is best known for her role in crippling the battleship Bismarck, with her aircraft - consisting of old Fairey Swordfish torpedo planes - dealing the debilitating blow to the battleship's rudder that allowed the British Home Fleet to finally sink the German ship.
She was torpedoed by U-81 in November 1941, and despite determined attempts to save her, she sunk on the 14th. Only one crew member was lost in the sinking. Her sinking was at first blamed on crew negligence, but discovery of her wreck and navy investigations indicated that she succumbed to design flaws, particularly at her boiler systems.

Ark Royal is depicted as a young woman with a slim figure and small breasts, fair skin, sharp light blue eyes and a slightly pointed nose. She has short red hair styled into a bob-cut, worn with a small tiara headband.
Her attire consists of a white corset, white jacket with a red rose attached to a bow, maroon finger-less gloves, a white skirt worn over her white shorts fastened with a belt, white pantyhose and platform shoes.
The weapon she uses is a compound bow used for launching items.
Personality[]
Ark Royal is depicted as rather serious, stern, diligent and social. She is dislikes u-boats and is suspicious of them, due to historically being sunk by U-81. In her Secretly Married and Wedding lines, she is shown to be caring as she notes the Admiral's state and prioritizes him over the present given to her by him. She likes Earl Grey tea.
