Barbara Joan Gordon, often known as Batgirl is a major character in the DC Universe animated series Harley Quinn. She is the daughter of Commissioner Jim Gordon and a student at Gotham University, who would later become a vigilante to aid in her father through the wreckage of Crime during Gotham's disaster.

She is voiced by Kaley Cuoco's sister Briana Cuoco.

Personality[]

Barbara Gordon is a Jovious, Kind-Hearted, Energetic, Reluctant, Supportive, very skilled and passionate Thrill-seeker, who enjoys being a freelance crime fighter and helping out Gotham City as much as she can along with the Bat family during Gotham's skyrocketing Crime Rates. She is empathetic and reluctant to her rogues, especially Harley Quinn who she considers an Ally despite her crimes and is eager to help her out on occasions.

Appearance[]

Before creating her persona as Barbara gordon, She is a Teenager with red hair, Green eyes including facial features such as freckles and blue glasses, She wears a purple jumpsuit equipped with a yellow belt and a cowl to disguise her face and leaving out her hair and eye holes.

Biography[]

She is introduced in the season 2 episode "Riddle U", she is seen as a student and tour guide living in Riddler University. After seeing her father hit rock bottom with Batman missing and helping Harley Quinn defeat Riddler by picking up with a Balaclavas mask and a grey hoodie as she infiltrates the Riddler's hideout and barely fought a goon with pepper spray making sure to check his pulse to see if he was alive, She then picks up the Goons gun and aimlessly attempts to shoot the lever to electrocute riddler but quickly throws it at him, leading to the latter being electrocuted, After defeating the Riddler's Goons singlehandingly she becomes inspired to assume the identity of Batgirl by sneaking out of her apartment to begin her vigilante career. In the episode "Batman's Back Man", she proved to be effective in fighting crime when she first stopped a knife-welding Robber at a bank while she livestreams the entire takedown using her decent self-defence skills as she cuffs the man into a metallic pole and directly tells her viewers about safety tips. She would later go after numerous Goons where she stopped her fifth Goon by knocking him down with a flying kick before being delighted by Batman's presence who warns her about the misuse of his symbol as she livestreams the announcement about his return. She would later help the Batfamily and once fought crime along with Alfred to help an injured Batman after his battle with Bane and helps him back to recovery, afterwards she was invited by Batman as a worthy replacement before once again livestreaming. In episode "There's No Place to Go But Down", Barbara helps save and reveals her identity as Batgirl to her father and helps bring him the motivation to take back Gotham City and take down Two-Face, in which the latter does successfully as Barbara waits outside. In the following episode, "Inner (Para) Demons", after Gordon becomes Commissioner again and is told by the President of the United States that he needs to kill Harley in order for Gotham to rejoin the U.S. Barbara unsuccessfully tries to dissuade him and warning him of the casualties of war of Gotham, and later warns Harley that Gordon will be coming after her. In the Third Season, She helps Harley to be a part of the Bat family by testing her methods by defeating The Mad Hatter as she still believes there is more to Harley other than being a Villain, but the latter spites her by killing the Hatter, but Batgirl presses the act to contradict her self-esteem. In the fourth season She would later Help Harley Quinn to solve the Murder of Nightwing, which she emphasises as being not her fault but her subconscious, leading to quitting the Bat Family despite her pleas.

  • Expert Combatant: Barbara is a skilled combatant, being able to take down numerous thungs much larger than her.
  • Expert Acrobat: Barabara is an exceptional acrobat and gymnast, being able to perform incredible feats of agility and parkour, and has even been described by Harley Quinn, a master acrobat herself, as being "surprisingly agile."
  • Sewing: Barbara sews her own costume.
  • Expert Hacker: Batgirl is an extremely talent for Hacking, as shown when she exposed Joker as not being the culprit for Nightwing's murder from the request by Harley by going through the surveilance cameras.
