King Triton's first appearance.
"I'm looking forward to this performance, Sebastian."

"Oh, I just don't know what we're going to do with you, young lady."
"As a result of your careless behavior-"
(Sebastian: "Careless and reckless behavior!") "The entire celebration was-"
Triton hearing Flounder try to defend Ariel.
Triton and Sebastian not moved with Flounder's attempts to speak up for Ariel.
Triton surprised when Flounder inadvertently mentions a seagull.
"YOU WENT TO THE SURFACE AGAIN, DIDN"T YOU?!"
"Ariel, how many times must we go through this?"
"You could have been seen by one of those barbarians."
"By one of those humans!"
"They are dangerous!"
"Do you think I want to see my youngest daughter snared by some fish eater's hook?"
(Ariel: "I'm 16 years old! I'm not a child!") "Don't you take that tone of voice with me, young lady!"
"As long as you live under my ocean, you will obey my rules!"
"NOT ANOTHER WORD! AND I NEVER, NEVER WANT TO HEAR OF YOU GOING TO THE SURFACE AGAIN! IS THAT CLEAR?"
Triton after Ariel swims off in sadness.
"Do you think I was too hard on her?"
Triton hearing Sebastian discuss how he would handle Ariel if she was his daughter.
Triton getting an idea.
"You're absolutely right, Sebastian!"
"Ariel needs constant supervision. Someone to watch over her, to keep her out of trouble. And *you* are just the crab to do it!"
The next day, Triton is given a sea flower by Ariel.
Triton, Attina, Aquata, Adella, and Andrina surprised by Ariel's dreamy behavior, making them realize she's in love.
Triton pleased to hear that Ariel has fallen in love with someone.
(giggles) "Who could the lucky merman be?"
(clears throat) "Come in, Sebastian."
"Sebastian, I'm concerned about Ariel. Have you noticed she's been acting peculiar lately?"
"Daydreaming, singing to herself. You haven't noticed, have you?"
King Triton ordering Sebastian to come closer to him.
"I know you've been keeping something from me."
(Sebastian: "Keeping something?") "About Ariel?"
(Sebastian: "Ariel?")"In love?"
King Triton getting mad when Sebastian blurts out Ariel went up to the surface again.
"Humans? WHAT ABOUT HUMANS?!"
Triton angrily confronts Sebastian before demanding him an explanation.
King Triton finding Ariel at her secret grotto after Sebastian confesses how she saved a human from drowning.
"I can consider myself a reasonable merman. I set certain rules..."
"And I expect those rules to be obeyed!"
"Is it true?! You rescued a human from drowning?!"
"Contact between the human world and the merworld is strictly forbidden! Ariel, you know that! Everyone knows that!"
(Ariel: "He would've died!") "One less human to worry about!"
(Ariel: "You don't even know him!") "Know him? I don't have to know him! They're all the same!"
"Spineless, savage, harpooning, fish eaters! Incapable of feeling any-"
"No." -Triton hearing Ariel accidentally blurt out that she loves Eric.
"Have you lost your senses completely? He's a HUMAN! You're a MERMAID!"
"So help me, Ariel! I am going to get through to you!"
"And if this is the only way..."
"SO BE IT!"
Triton, in a barbaric rage, destroys Ariel's treasures after she blurts out that she loves Eric.
Triton ignoring Ariel's pleas to stop.
Triton about to destroy a statue of Eric.
Triton having destroyed the statue, leaving Ariel saddened.
Triton regretting his tragic mistake of destroying Ariel's treasures in a barbaric rage when she blurts that she loves Eric leading to damaging their father-and-daughter relationship and leaves Ariel sulking in shame.
Later, Triton waits for his servants to find Ariel and Sebastian who have gone missing.
"Any sign of them?"
When his herald says Ariel and Sebastian have not been found, Triton orders him to keep searching for them.
"Oh, what have I done? What have I done?"-Triton feeling extremely guilty for his actions.
"Ursula, stop!"
Triton confronting Ursula the Sea Witch after being informed by Sebastian that she has kidnapped Ariel.
Triton informed by Ursula that Ariel is now her property due to owing a deal with her.
Triton attempting to destroy the contact that binds Ariel to Ursula.
Triton shocked to see that his magic trident has no effect on Ursula's contract.
Triton being taunted by Ursula.

Triton watching Ariel about to turn into a polyp.

Upon hearing Sebastian remark how children need to be free to make their own lives, Triton, knowing Sebastian is right, says there's only one problem left.
(Sebastian: "And what's that, Your Majesty.") "How much I'm going to miss her."
Triton uses his magic to turn Ariel human again.
Triton smiling lovingly at Ariel as she realizes he is allowing her to be with Eric.
Later, Triton and his other daughters attend Ariel and Eric's wedding.
Triton conjuring up a wave to meet with Ariel up on her boat.
Triton and Ariel reconcile as Triton earns Ariel's forgiveness.
Triton hugging Ariel as she tells him she loves him.
Triton bowing to Eric, accepting him as his son-in-law.
Triton bidding farewell to Ariel.
Triton magically conjuring up and casting a rainbow over the sky.
Triton, Sebastian, and Flounder watching Ariel and Eric leave to start a new life together.
