Freddy is a Mexican American hustler and salesman and supporting character in the Spanish-American animated movie Tad: The Lost Explorer. He was voiced by comedian José Mota (who, in their Spanish dubbed versions, also voiced Mike Wazowski in the Monsters, Inc. franchise, Donkey in the Shrek franchise, Mushu in the Mulan duology, Rutt in Brother Bear, Spike in Rugrats Go Wild, Vito in Ozzy, Abe Sapien in Hellboy II: The Golden Army and Chuck in the Angry Birds movies) in Spanish and by comedian Cheech Marin in the English dub.
Freddie constantly tries to get others sympathy and claims, "I have a family to feed" and pulls out a pic of a random family with his face poorly taped on it.
He joins Tad Stones and Sara Lavroff to find the Lost Idol of Paititi with Max Mordon and Kopponen close behind them. He is somewhat of a coward as he spends most of the climax playing cards with Jeff the dog and Belzoni the parrot instead of going to the temple and helping Tad.
