Gran /Djeeta are the main protagonist(s) of Granblue Fantasy, either choosen by player. Gran is voiced by Yūki Ono in Japanese and Kyle McCarley in English, while Djeeta is voiced by Hisako Kanemoto in Japanese and Erika Harlacher-Stone in English.

Bio[]
The main character which the player controls throughout the game. They can choose either Gran, the male protagonist (and titular character) or Djeeta, the female protagonist, (whose name is derived from Taji, the "tasy" part of Fantasy in Japanese, phonetically backwards).
They are the child of a famous skyfarer, but he disappeared in their childhood with only a letter's promise to come to Estalucia, the legendary island of the Astrals. They've been waiting for years at their childhood home of Zinkenstill, idly dreaming and waiting with best friend Vyrn for the day they meet him again. That is, until an Erste airship passing by has a sudden explosion and a blue-haired girl falls into the nearby forest.
Uniquely for a gacha game protagonist, they fight on the front lines alongside their party members. Due to their nature as a unit, the Captain is one of the most versatile units in the player's party and has flexibility that allows them to fill out any necessary role they want to fill in their party.
Personality[]
Like a typical gacha protagonist, the captain and Lyria will immediately interfere when they see someone harassing the other, or jump in as a backup when the other is in a pinch. This is a trait that is very much evident in almost every Fate episode, story or collaboration event. In an extent, they're the ones that keep the group together. Sandalphon exploits this in his near defeat by pushing them off the cliff in the ending of "What Makes The Sky Blue" and have them fall from the skies to make Lyria and Vyrn go on a rampage, losing control of their powers from it and possibly destroy the Phantagrande kingdoms in the process. What stopped them from going on a full rampage is that Katalina and everyone else reminds them that there is still hope.

- The names Gran and Djeeta come from the beginning and end of Granblue Fantasy, phonetically, in Japanese. Guran buruu fan ta jii (グラン ブルー ファン タ ジー). While Gran (グラン) is obviously derived from the Japanese katakana & spelling of "Grand", Djeeta ( ジータ) is derived by reversing the last syllables of the Japanese katakana & spelling of "Fantasy" (ファンタジー) .
- Both Gran and Djeeta were approximately 15 years old.
- In Princess Connect, Djeeta's birthday is March 10th, which was the same day Granblue Fantasy started service.
