Hayasui (速吸 "Quick Absorption") was a Japanese fleet oiler (hybrid tanker/carrier) of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), serving during World War II.
She was named after what is now known as the Hōyo Strait, the narrowest passage of the Bungo Channel that separates the Japanese islands of Shikoku and Kyushu.
She get sunk by USS Bluefish at West of Vigan City, Philippines, 19 August 1944. Hayasui was one of the many ships sunk as part of the ill-fated Hi-71 convoy.
