Zange Natsume is one of characters in the Japanese manga series and anime, Inu x Boku SS. Natsume is a half-human, half-youkai wearing a set of black rabbit ears on his head. His ancestor was a Hyakume, or 100 eyes monster, capable of "seeing" the past, future, and various other things. He claims to be able to "see" such things as well because of this heritage.
He is voiced by Mamoru Miyano in the Japanese version and Blake Shepard in the English version.
Appearance[]
He has red hair. Under his bandage on his forehead, he has a third eye which he uncovers in his youkai form. He is usually seen wearing a black suit and black gloves in his human form.
In his youkai form, he has eyes all over his arms and an eye in each palm of his hands.
Personality[]
He has a cheerful personality and usually wears Bunny ears. He is particularly fond of Soushi and tenderly calls him "Sou-tan".
Natsume is something of a meddlesome busybody, as he likes to stick his nose into the business of his peers and can come off as quite sinister and suspicious at times. That being said, his motives usually have positive goals, such as allowing his friends to realize things about themselves or their relationships.
Trivia[]
- He suggests that he should be the one who goes back to the past because no matter how many times he is reincarnated, he will always remember his previous life, which makes him almost like an immortal. But that suggestion is no longer significant because the letter which they had sent to the past will prevent their previous death and also the yōkai's raid, which will make their current self disappear.
