Come on. I don't belong up here — fighting aliens and monsters and super villains. I just help the little guy.
~ Green Arrow in Justice League Unlimited

Oliver Queen, alias Green Arrow, is a character from the TV Series Justice League Unlimited.

He is voiced by Kin Shriner.

Biography[]

Green Arrow made his debut, joining the Justice League during the team expansion that followed the Thanagarian invasion of Earth. During his first mission with the team, he helped Green Lantern, Captain Atom, and Supergirl stop an atomic-powered juggernaut called Brimstone during a rampage through the countryside region of China. He soon took notice of Black Canary, who was also admitted to the team at that time, and decided to stay on just to get to know her better. Eventually, Green Arrow helped Black Canary rescue Wildcat from his addiction to fighting in Roulette's Meta-Brawl arena against meta-humans. Black Canary offered to fight Wildcat on the grounds that Roulette would ban him from future participation in Meta-Brawl, which she accepted; however, Green Arrow knocked Black Canary out with a gas arrow and took her place in the ring, letting Wildcat beat him to death in order for him to see the end result of his fighting addiction. Black Canary at first cursed Green Arrow for this action as being stupid, macho, and pig-headed, but admitted with tenderness that what he did was also very sweet of him. Soon she discovered that Green Arrow used a stunner to put himself in metabolic stasis to make it look as if he did die at Wildcat's hands.

Abilities[]

Oliver Queen used the finest body building equipment, even during his ten a wealthy businessman. He eventually developed impressive muscle conditioning on par with the finest Olympic athletes, comparable to Batman. Likewise, Oliver is arguably the greatest marksman in the DC Universe, surpassing that of Batman. He has incredible dexterity and accuracy with his bow and arrows and rarely ever misses his targets. He is effective at utilizing his range and knowledge of several different kinds of trick arrows in his arsenal, having skillfully memorized each and every one.

Personality[]

In his debut episode, Green Arrow was highly skeptical of the entire League and their purpose, and his only initialy reason for sticking around was to get to know Black Canary. However, he lacks his comic book counterpart's smug and self-righteous personality, and remains devoted to Black Canary once they start going out. By the end of his debut episode, he accepts the offer to join, partially due to coming around to Batman's way of thinking. Later in the series, he makes a rousing speech to the original seven members of the League (Superman, in particular) about all the good the League has done and will continue to do even if the Original Seven decided to retire.
