John angry when Ratcliffe refuses to make peace with the settlers and threatens to charge anyone with treason and hang them if they do not kill an Indian.

Later that night, John puts out the fire in a lamp.

John Smith tries to sneak out so the guards don't notice him.

John and Pocahontas suddenly hear a loud, spooky bark.
"Percy?"-John Smith holds Percy.

"See what I mean? Once two sides want to fight, nothing can stop them."
After Grandmother Willow stops the fight between Meeko and Percy, John watches her demonstrate how a war can start through a pond's water ripples.
"They're not going to listen to us."
