Sonic the Hedgehog is the titular main protagonist of the 1993 series Sonic the Hedgehog, nicknamed SatAM by fans because of it being a Saturday morning cartoon.

This particular version of Sonic was later inspired the incarnation used in the Archie Comic Series. He was voiced by Jaleel White, who also voiced his AOSTH counterpart, and his underground counterpart as well.

Like his video game counterpart, Sonic battles the evil Dr. Robotnik, except this time his arch-enemy has successfully taken over Mobius, enslaved the citizens and turned most of them, including his Uncle Chuck, into robotic slaves furthering his hatred for the evil genius. Sonic vows to save his uncle and turn him back to normal as well as put an end to Robotnik's tyranny.

He put together a group of freedom fighters which included his best friend Miles "Tails" Prower, Princess Sally Acorn, Rotor, Bunnie Rabbot and Antoine Depardieu.

Personality[]

Sonic can sometimes be reckless, cocky, energetic, egotistical and a little overconfident; which sometimes makes Princess Sally a little annoyed with him especially when he would rather rush into a situation rather than listen to her plans & strategies. But he is also brave and selfless who is always willing to help his friends and people he cares about.

To compare and contrast his wackier (if smarter) counterpart in the same year, this version of Sonic tends to be taken seriously most of the time as a freedom fighter, happens to have several emotional moments, and has a protective streak in his goals to fight for global freedom.

Powers and Abilities[]

Naturally, Sonic has his signature super speed, and super agility. He can spin into a ball and create a buzzsaw effect with his quills. He also has the ability to absorb power from special rings that his uncle Chuck made for him which only he can use.
