Scott McCall is the son of Rafael and Melissa McCall and the main protagonist of the MTV series Teen Wolf and Teen Wolf: The Movie. He is loosely based on Scott Howard, the protagonist of the 1985 film Teen Wolf.
He was played by Tyler Posey.

Scott, at the beginning, was a kid with poor physical performance and asthma. One night his best friend "Stiles" Stilinski (his first real name is unknown, but later revealed to be Mieczyslaw), tells him that the police found a dead body in the woods, and he asks Scott to join him to find it. However, during the investigation Styles was caught by the sheriff (his dad), while Scott keeps going further into the woods to see the body. But somehow he is attacked by a wolf. His abilities increase without realizing and suddenly he is the captain of the lacrosse team. The same day he has his first transformation, and later attempts to cure his lycanthropy. Eventually, Scott accepts that he is a werewolf, and decides to be one of the protectors of Beacon Hills. With the help of his friends and allies, he stops supernatural threats of the town. Scott later becomes an Alpha Werewolf, one of the strongest wolf types, later leads his own pack call the McCall Pack, and becomes the protector of Beacon Hills.

Early life[]
Scott was born in 1994 to Rafael McCall, a Federal Bureau of Investigations special agent, and Melissa McCall, a nurse at Beacon Hills Memorial Hospital. At a young age, Scott was afflicted with asthma, and it became worse as he got older. One night, Scott walked in on his parents fighting, with his drunk father grabbing his wrist, but Scott pulled back. Scott was accidently pushed down the stairs, being knocked unconscious for twenty seconds or so.
Melissa threw Rafael out her home, with him becoming so ashamed, he left his wife and son out of grief. Thought Scott spent time, and moved in with his father, he eventually moved in with his mother. Rafael discontinued his contact with his family, moved to San Francisco, and spent much of his time working for the Federal Bureau of Investigations. Scott became to resent his father for doing so, but eventually let it go by high school.
When he was young, Scott was walking his dog when they were attacked by a rabid Doberman, causing Scott to have a severe asthma attack. Scott was sent to the hospital, but his dog died of her injuries, something he repressed or was repressed by the Dread Doctors. In 2012, Scott would remember the event when reading The Dread Doctors, a tool used to see if the doctors did anything to him.
Scott saw his mother work hard to raise him, and so he decided to take a job as veterinary technician at Dr. Alan Deaton's animal clinic. At Beacon Hills High School, he joined the lacrosse team with his best friend, Stiles Stilinski. Despite joining the team, the two rarely played a game due to their lack of athletic prowess.

Allison Argent: He was deeply in love with Alison, and they are tragic lovers. She was his girlfriend and he has "never loved anybody else." She died in his arms after being stabbed by an Oni and profressed her love for Scott before dying. 15 years later, Allison was resurrected but had no memory of who she was. However, Because of Scott and Lydia, she remembered who she was. After Derek's death, Allison and Scott rekindled their romance relationship and decided to move to Los Angeles with Dr Deaton and Eli.
Melissa McCall: She is Scott's mom, they keep a good relationship open and trustfully. For the first two seasons, Melissa was unaware of her son's identity as a werewolf until they were both held hostage by Matt Daehler and the Kanima. At first afraid of Scott, Melissa helps her son protect Beacon Hills.
Stiles Stilinski: He is Scott's best friend since childhood and sidekick. He helped Scott through the beginning of being a werewolf and Scott does everything he can to destroy the Nogitsune which was using/tormenting Stiles. They are as close as brothers and cannot live without each other. In Season 5, Scott and Stiles are broken up because Theo Raeken. However, in the second half of Season 5, the boys reconciled, now stronger than ever. When Stiles was taken by the Ghost Riders, Scott did everything in his power to rescue him and bring him back.
Derek Hale: Derek has been, over the course of the series, Scott's enemy, ally, mentor, and brother figure. Derek often treats Scott like a little brother, which is sometimes given back. However, Derek has also been Scott's enemy in some cases and he has been a mentor to Scott since he has teach him the basics about controlling "the wolf". Derek was fully supportive of Scott as the True Alpha and returned to Beacon Hills to help him fight Monroe, Gerard and their huters. In 2026, Derek was killed by the Nogitsune, much to Scott's devastation.
Jackson Whittemore: He feels some rivalry against him, since Scott became a werewolf he became better than him, there is born some kind of rivalry between them two.
Lydia Martin: Lydia is one of Scott's best friends and acts like a sister to him. He will also protect her at any costs due to him being her Alpha. However, they didn't use to be close due to her relationship with Jackson. After two seasons, Lydia becomes closer to Scott, Allison and Stiles after becoming aware of the Supernatural. Because of her status as a banshee and Scott's status as an Alpha, they are confident in each other's own abilities.
Liam Dunbar: Scott had turned him into a werewolf on accident while saving his knife from a wendigo. Liam becomes one of Scott's best friends. Liam was also the one to turn him back to normal after becoming a Berserker. In Season 5, Liam tried to kill Scott after being manipulated by Theo Raeken and felt remorse for what he tried to do. Scott and Liam later reconciled.
Kira Yukimura: Scott first met her during their history class. She becomes Scott's second love interest and ex-girlfriend. They start to date in season 3B and have their first kiss in season 4. In season 5, Kira and Scott broke up after the defeat the Sebastien Valet because she joined the Skinwalkers.
Dr. Alan Deaton: He is Scott's boss and is also a mentor and father figure to him. Outside of work, Scott and the Pack come to him for advice on occult and supernatural.
Malia Tate: Scott and Malia have been close friends for years. He was the one who turned her back into a human and taught her how to control her Werecoyote side. In Season 6, Malia and Scott end up developing romantic feelings for each other and start dating. By the movie, the couple has broken up.
Chris Argent: He is one of Scott's allies, father figure, and former enemies. At first, the two didn't like each other because Argent was a hunter and Scott was a werewolf who was dating Allison. After two seasons, Argent became an ally to Scott and the pack, helping them defend a Beacon Hills even after Allison's second death.
Sheriff Stilinski: Stilinski acts as a surrogate father to Scott after Rafael abandoned him and Melissa.
Personality[]
Scott McCall was Very driven, with an indomitable will. He is extremely selfless and always thinks about others before himself. Prior to his transformation, Scott was an asthmatic and had two goals: survive high school, start on the first line at lacrosse and graduate. He and Stiles were not athletic and quite the trouble makers, going to find a dead body and skating underneath a water treatment plant. After becoming a werewolf, Scott became more confident and caring/empathetic towards others. However, when he first started out as a werewolf, Scott lost his temper and had fits of rage, especially on the nights of the full moon. However, with Allison as his anchor, Derek's training and Stiles' help, Scott learned how to control his shifts. At first seeing his lycanthropy as a curse, Scott soon accepts it as a gift. By Season 2 and the second half of Season 3, Scott becomes more in control of his rage and transformation, as he was able to stay human without shifting during Lydia's birthday party. However, in Season 3b, he learns to control it eh l even more when Melissa tells her son to be his own anchor instead of Allison.
Scott is also a skilled tactician; for example, he outwitted Gerard on multiple occasions and Theo Raeken during the Beast attacks. He is also very empathetic, understanding why Chris still had a small instinct to shoot him.
Unlike most Alphas, Scott doesn't seek power like Peter Hale and Deucalion. Because of his shere Force and will, Scott managed to become an alpha without having to steal power. He only uses The Alpha roar whenever it is necessary (turning Malia back into a human after she was trapped as a coyote for 8 years). Scott refused to use it on Liam during the Super Moon when he control and viciously attacked Scott. He later used his alpha roar on Eli Hale, only so he could trigger the younger werewolf's healing abilities.
He has come to accept his role as the protector of Beacon Hills. Scott watches over innocents, his friends, family, pack and town. However, sometimes Scott's plans of protection ended up backfiring on him. When he viewed Corey's memories in his plan to capture one of the Dread Doctors and protect anyone else. However Scott's plan backfired The Dread Doctors abducted Liam and Hayden instead.
After his second death and resurrection, Scott became more mature, confident and self-assured in his abilities. However, it is notable that he became more predatorial in his determination to stop the Ghost Riders and save everyone in the Wild Hunt.
Powers and Abilities[]
Lycanthropy: As being bitten by a werewolf, Scott can transform and use the abilities as a werewolf. He can switch to his human and werewolf form at will. This also cures him from asthma.
- Enhanced Strength: Scott has superhuman strength than other beta wolves such as Isaac and Erica (perhaps not stronger than Boyd), it is shown he could easily defeat both at the same time, it is even above the average on beta wolves.
- Enhanced Speed & Agility: Scott has incredible speed, he can jump, climb and react faster than beta wolves.
- Heightened Senses: He has high senses that enables him to see, hear and smell better.
- Accelerated Healing: Scott can heal quickly from most injuries.
- Pain Transference: Scott can absorb and alleviate pain from other people/creatures.
- Memory Transference: Scott can transfer memories by inserting his claws into nape of an individual's neck.
Skills:
- Expert Combatant: Though not formally trained, Scott shows exceptional fighting skills throughout the series, blending his superhuman abilities with his trained athletic skills from lacrosse to effectively outmatch his opponents, such as Isaac Lahey, Erica Reyes, members of the Alpha Pack, The Orphans, Mercenaries after the Deadpool, and Peter Hale, with great ability.
- Expert Tactician: Throughout the series Scott proves himself an excellent strategist, being able to outsmart Gerard Argent in the second season and gaining his respect, and later outsmart Garrett Douglas, Who was a former Nazi German military officer.
- Medical Training: Seeking to become a Veterinarian, Scott had worked for Alan Deaton since before the series' start, and learned some medical skills beyond simply first aid, and likely has learned some from his mother as well, being a qualified Nurse.
