Sharkboy is one of the two titular deuteragonists (alongside Lavagirl) of the 2005 3D film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and a supporting character in its 2020 sequel We Can Be Heroes. He was the first superhero on Planet Drool.
He was portrayed by Taylor Lautner, who also portrayed Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga. In We Can Be Heroes, he is portrayed by J.J. Dashnaw.
Personality[]
Typically, Sharkboy is strong willed, determined, competent, and heroic. However, his tremendous strength is matched only by his equally massive temper and gives him tendencies of being snarky, demanding, and stubborn. Whenever Sharkboy gets extremely angry, he goes into a "Shark Frenzy", an intense burst of energy and strength. The bubble-like La-La's highly irritate Sharkboy and get on his nerves.
History[]
When Sharkboy was little, he lived with his father, a marine biologist who studied great white sharks. Sharkboy helped his father by caring for and feeding the sharks. One day, an incredibly powerful electrical storm swept away the entire laboratory where Sharkboy and his father lived. Both of them survived on different life rafts on different sides of the wreckage, but drifted off in different directions. Sharkboy would be alone If it hadn’t been for some of the sharks he helped care for. One of them recognized Sharkboy as a friend to them and all marine life, and took him to the cave where all the other great whites lived. From that moment on, his new family were hundreds of sharks. The sharks taught Sharkboy the ways of the shark and raised him as one of their own.
Eventually, Sharkboy began to mutate into a half-human, half-shark being. He grew gills on the sides of his stomach, he grew sharp talons for claws, his teeth sharpened themselves to a point, he grew all kinds of fins on his arms and legs as well as the iconic dorsal fin between his shoulder blades, and the very strength and speed of a shark. His internal radar also grant him superhuman agility and hearing, acrobatics, and shark-like reflexes, which make him and exceptionally formidable martial artist.
Plot[]
Sharkboy is revealed to be King of the Ocean and cares for all sea life. Sharkboy can now be found in his Sharksub, looking for his father, who is in a submarine at the bottom of the ocean, looking for him. The coordinates of his father's location are over the hydrothermal vents, Mid-Atlantic ridge, 42 degrees west by 14 north, depth 1800 meters, near a snake pit.

- Sharkboy's only known weaknesses are electric eels and extreme heat. Plus, his gills allow him to breathe underwater, but like a shark, he is an obligate ram ventilator, meaning that he must keep swimming in order to prevent himself from drowning.
- The actor who portrayed him the first time and the actress who played Lavagirl are both named Taylor.
