Habuki is a supporting protagonist in the manga/anime series Kekkaishi. He is a 400-year old demon wolf and a spirit who accompanies Tokine Yukimura during his night patrols of Karasumori. He has a rivalry with Yoshimori's demon wolf Madarao, but is the more experienced of the two. Both Hakubi and Madarao swore to serve their respective Kekkaishi clan on the request of their former master, Tokimori Hazama.
He is voiced by Masanori Ishii in the Japanese version of the anime and Wally Wingert in the English version.
Appearance[]
Habuki's fur is black and white; his eyes are blue color for the pupil. He wears a green "collar" that is designed to seal away his true form.
Personality[]
Hakubi also enjoys harassing Madarao about having to serve a master (Yoshimori) with such pathetic skills. He playfully flirts with Tokine and likes to call her "honey", and is a sucker for cute girls.
History[]
He accompanied Tokimori Hazama while he was alive and died when Chūshinmaru's power went wild.
Trivia[]
- In the original Japanese version, he has a habit of using European words and expressions, eventually causing Yoshimori to complain that if he's a Japanese dog, he shouldn't be using European words.
- His English Voice Actor, Wally Wingert also voices Renji Abarai from Bleach, BanchoLeomon from Digimon Data Squad, Jon Arbuckle from The Garfield Show, Tallest Red from Invader Zim and Aoba Yamashiro from Naruto series.
