The Latin Quarter Members are a group of teenagers in From Up on Poppy Hill's anime film adaption. They seek to preserve the Latin Quarter Clubhouse. As well as this they seek to study the subjects they are interested in most. They are led by Shun Kazama.

History[]

When the Latin Quarter clubhouse is announced to be destroyed, anti-demolition campaign is made by President Shiro Mizunuma and Shun Kazama, and many other members.

Mizunuma and Shun advertise for the anti-demolition campaign with posters set up outside the waiting area, and having Shun Kazama jump into a pool of water. He is initially helped by Umi Matsuzaki, only to drop him back into the pool out of embarrassment.

However a day later, Umi and her sister Sora, go to meet Shun as Sora wants an autograph. Umi and Sora analyse the clubhouse, and see it's decayd state. Umi and Shun get into a relationship together, and it's implied Sora gets into a relationship with Shiro Mizunuma.

All the students take a debate on whether they should destroy the clubhouse. The clubhouse president reveals that most of the students want to rebuild. But Shun Kazama leaps on the stage and claims it should stay. Later when the principle comes, Mizunuma disguises the debate as a practice for their anthem: "When the White Flower Blooms".

When Umi and Shun leave the debate Umi states they should "Make the place look new again. And invite the girls to see, then they'll get it."

Days later on Umi invites Shun and Shiro to Dr. Miki Hokuto's farewell party, Shun is impressed by how well the interior of the house is kept and is implied to tell Mizunuma to renovate the Latin Quarter.

Various members of the Latin Quarter start cleaning up the place with Umi and Shun. Mizunuma gets assistance from two suppliers to get materials to renovate the clubhouse, as well as food for the members.

Once the renovations are complete the school board votes to destroy the clubhouse. Fearing for the fate of the clubhouse Umi, Shun and Shiro go to meet the chairman of the board, who agrees to visit the latin Quarter. The next day at his visit he asks various questions from the members, and is impressed by their work. After the members sing Side by side in the English dub, or The Indigo Waves in the Japanese version. The chairman states he will find a new place for the new construction of the building for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
