Let's go, Samson!
~ Filia
Hell yeah!
~ Samson

Filia Medici is one of the playable characters and the main protagonist in Skullgirls. She is a high school student who suffered under amnesia with her hair now possessed by a parasite named Samson. She is to discover who she was back then by finding the Skull Heart and wish for her memories back.

She is voiced by Ayana Taketatsu in the Japanese version and Christine Marie Cabanos in the English version.

Filia's appearance is rather unique in ways to her description. She is seen less than tall in her height and has black, dark long hair with several bangs in front of her face covering her forehead, same goes with some tentacle-like locks on the back of her hair due to Samson. Her eye pupils are colored red and her entire figure is rather curvy.

She is mostly seen in her high school uniform, consisting a white collared shirt, a black tie, and a black pleated skirt at a short minimum, alongside her thigh leggings and dark brown-colored loafers. She occasionally wears a white-colored mushroom hat with a black ribbon across it as a disguise in some cases.

Prior to Samson possessing her, her hair color was originally blonde, followed by her hairstyle being wavy as slight was to be and had a headband to keeps it up.

  • Filia is based on the futakuchi-onna, an Japanese folklore regarding a woman with a second mouth on the back of her head. Which could resemble the reason behind her appearance and Samson.
  • Filia's name is a Latin word for "daughter", as well as being based from fiber. In which are a reference to her hair.
  • Most of her color palettes in the mobile version often have some references based to some fictional characters, such as "Idol Threat" (Hatsune Miku), "Rock Star" (Steven Universe), and "Class Cutter" (Ryūko Matoi).
  • In the opening to her story mode, the bar in the background setting is parodied to the famous painting, Nighthawks, which was named "Madman's Cafe".
  • Her winning stance and formation pose has some resemblance to Ryu's from Street Fighter.
