Fink is the tritagonist of DreamWorks' 47th full-length animated feature film The Wild Robot, an adaptation of the 2016 book series of the same name.
He's a mischievous red fox who is the first animal that Roz helps and befriends, as well as one of Brightbill's mentors, close friend and possibly his adoptive father.
He is voiced by Pedro Pascal, who also played The Mandalorian in Star Wars, Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones, Joel Miller in The Last of Us, and will portray Mr. Fantastic in The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
Personality[]
Fink seems to be a clever and intelligent fox. He is shown to be mischievous most of the time (like trying to steal the egg from Roz, throwing acorns at the forest animals, threatening to eat the goslings when they told Brightbill about his family’s death, and lying to Roz about one of the animals not making it when the duo were trying to rescue the forest animals during winter).

Fink first appears trying to run away from Roz after stealing the egg but and getting caught. After the gosling hatches, Fink notices how Roz is trying to raise the gosling so he decides to introduce himself to Roz. He decides to help Roz raise the gosling. As Fink gives a tour around the forest, they decide to construct a shelter for themselves. While Roz is trying to give a name to the gosling, Fink tells her that the gosling’s name needs to be personal. Roz then names him Brightbill. Months pass as Brightbill turns into an adult, Roz and Fink starts to teach him how to swim, while Brightbill meets up with the other goslings, they started to bully him until Roz and Fink appeared.
When the goslings noticed Brightbill calling Roz “Mom” they tell him that Roz is the “monster” that killed his family which shocked Brightbill, Fink threatened to hurt the goslings but Roz restrained him. Back at the shelter, Brightbill was angry after learning the truth what happened to his family as he scorns Roz as he leaves kicking his nest. As Roz was about to give up with teaching Brightbill to fly, Longneck, a wise gosling manage to encourage her to not give up on Brightbill and she recruits a falcon, Thunderbolt to help Brightbill learn how to fly. The day when the goslings was about to leave since winter is coming, Brightbill tries to talk with Roz that it wasn’t her fault for his family’s death but Longneck calls for him then Brightbill asks Roz for a boost, as Brightbill begins to fly away, Roz then runs to catch up to watch Brightbill and the others fly away as Roz and Brightbill looked at each other one last time before he departs with the other goslings.
As Fink catches up to Roz, she tells her that her goal is over and she has to go back to the Universal Dynamics headquarters, Fink who is sad that Roz is gonna leave the Forrest, he abandons the shelter and rests in a another shelter. As Winter approaches, Roz then wakes up to see Fink still in their shelter, as Roz asks Fink why he’s here, Fink tells her that there’s a sandstorm out there and all of the forest animals are still out there. Roz then decides to save the forest animals much of Fink’s annoyance. After rescuing of the forest animals, all of the animals were fighting in the shelter until Fink gets their attention, He and Roz urge urge the prey and predators to stop fighting until spring comes. As Spring approaches, all of the goslings (except Longneck who sacrificed himself for the others to escape) returned to the forest as the goslings hail Brightbill as a hero, Fink happily reunited with Brightbill as he tells him that Roz is still here. Before Roz can meet with him, she gets a signal that was coming from the other side in the forest.
