Firestorm is a superheroic nuclear fusion of the 17 years-old genius, Jason Rusch and his dimwitted teacher, Ronnie Raymond. He is a character from Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

History[]

In "A Bat Divided!", Ronnie and Jason first appeared as they were having a field trip in a nuclear power plant as Ronnie was bored while Jason was interested but later they become victims of the fight between Batman, Doctor X and Double X. The class was evacuating but Ronnie got a knee injury and Jason refused to leave him behind and so both of them got hit by a nuclear blast which fused them into one. Amazed, Batman took the fusion to his cave to run some tests and gets a suit that can suitable for his radioactive body, which Jason was most of the body, Ronnie existed as a consciousness which only Jason could see and apparently control his body. After this Jason and Ronnie discover that not only the nuclear blast fused them into one but it also split Batman into three personality versions of him, Physical Batman, Science Batman and Slacker Batman, so the Smart Batman was working on a solution while testing the fusion's powers. After finding a way to fuse all Batmen into one, they find out that the Physical Batman went to fight crime. During the fight with the low class villains, Jason and Ronnie joined the fight as they enjoyed it but they got knocked out and taken by Double X. After being held hostage, Jason and Ronnie lost their powers which was able to split them up but powered up Double X which made it hard for the Batmen to deal with. Choosing between their normal lives or saving the day, Jason and Ronnie broke free and reversed the process as they regained their powers and fought Double X and blasted him back into Doctor X's body. Then he uses the same machine to fuse all the Batmen and embraces the idea of becoming a superhero as he choses to be called Firestorm and in the end, he join Batman in crime fighting.

In "Siege of Starro, Part One!", Jason and Ronnie (who are now able to unfuse and refuse) are one of the few superhero survivors from the Starro invasion recruited by Batman and Booster Gold to fight Starro, The Faceless Hunter and their army of mind-controlled people. Firestorm was separated from Batman and B'Wanna Beast along with Captain Marvel and Booster Gold and they came with the idea to blend in and plan an attack but Starro arrived as he was feeding off people, Firestorm and Booster Gold started fighting Starro but noticed Billy Batson getting mind-controlled by Starro clone but as he realized that Starro clones work like batteries with a limit to how much it could hold, Firestorm manages to remove the clone by successfully overloading it with his powers. and then he noticed that while Starro was blocking the Shazam lightning, it was actually hurting him, so Firestorm flew holding Billy telling him to say Shazam many times until Starro gets killed which works. In the end of Part 1, Firestorm is glad that they managed to defeat Starro.

In "Siege of Starro, Part Two!", Firestorm was helping with removing the Starro clones from the mind controlled and joined the other superheroes in defeating the mind controlled Aquaman before removing the Starro clone off his face.

In the prologue of "Darkseid Descending!", Ronnie was doing a chemistry lesson until the school got attacked by Killer Frost who Ronnie recognized as his ex-girlfriend, Dr. Louise Lincoln which he dumped with text message, a quick and painless solution. Ronnie and Jason fused into Firestorm and helped Batman defeat Killer Frost.

In "Mitefall!", Firestorm appears in the final scene of the episode.

Abilities[]

  • Molecular Reconstruction: Firestorm posses the ability to alter every object and living being's molecular structure.
  • Fusion Blasts: Like how he's a fusion, Firestorm can fuse things together like how he did with Dr. X and Double X.
  • Enhanced Physique: Having the physique of both Jason and Ronnie combined and having it enhanced from the radiation, Firestorm posses Enhanced Strength, Enudrance, Vision, and Resilience.
  • Flight: Firestorm is shown to posses the ability to fly in episodes like "A Bat Divided!" and "Siege of Starro, Part One!".

Trivia[]

  • This version of Firestorm is a combination of both versions he consisted of the body of Jason, an intelligent youngster (voiced by Tyler James Williams), and the mind of ex-jock Ronnie Raymond (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke), who were caught in the middle of the nuclear accident that created Firestorm. Producer James Tucker observed that because in this version "the smart kid has the body and he's got this dumb guy in his head telling him stuff... it's kind of a total flip of the original Firestorm."
