Fish is the titular main protagonist of the animated series Fish n Chips. He is a red fish who dreams of evolving in terran all this thanks to a bone of his ancestor, except that a yellow cat called Chips absolutely wants to get this bone back to his father.
Biography[]
Fish has a bone of his ancestor (a fish that devoured a cat) and he is convinced that thanks to her, he will be able to evolve in terrain, except that Chips absolutely wants to steal it from him to bring it back to his father who expelled him from his home. To avoid of to have his bone stolen, Fish is often accompanied by his friends (Torpedo and Bart) who defends him against Chips when he goes to earth to eat fries in Caline's restaurant, which Fish (like Chips) has a crush on Caline. To breathe on land, he takes oxygen bubbles made by Marraine.
Personality[]
Fish is pretty selfish, because he doesn’t seem to have any pity or sympathy for Chips when he was expelled from his home by his father, and that his only way return home is to take the Fish's bone, except that this latter categorically refuses to give it to him, out of selfish desire to become a terran one day, because he thinks the bone will make him evolve. When Fish sometimes tries to help Chips with his problem, it’s only so he can stop chasing him and leave him alone and in peace with his bone. He also has no remorse when Torpedo electrocute Chips or when Bart assaults him, and often, he likes plays mean-spirited tricks at Chips, and takes a sadistic pleasure in seeing him suffer. He is likewise manipulative, when he puts Chips on a wrong track to find the "lost bones" of his ancestor in order to get rid of him permanently.
He also often puts his need to go to earth before his friends, because he always insists that Torpedo come with him every time to earth to protect him from Chips whereas that the latter does not necessarily want to, which also shows his cowardice, not being able of fend for all alone against Chips. Despite this, Fish can sometimes get along with Chips when both lose the bone, and he cares about his relatives. We see it when Fish asks Chips to help him find his sister, Fish makes the promise to Chips who will give him his bone in exchange for his help, and he was sincere in this promise. He has a true friendship with his friends Torpedo and Bart, who they are his bodyguards on earth to defend him from Chips.
Like Chips, Fish can also be silly and mischievous, who likes to play dirty tricks at Chips.
