Floyd is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Viva) of the film Trolls Band Together. He is the shy and sensitive member of BroZone, the younger brother of John Dory, Spruce and Clay, and the older brother of Branch.
He is voiced by Troye Sivan in the film and by Tyler Shamy in Trolls: Remix Rescue. Sivan also portrayed young Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Personality[]
Floyd was the shy, sensitive member of the group. He always tried to maintain the dynamic together for the sake of his brothers.
As an adult, he has embraced his more emo side, but still retains his sarcasm. He still cares for his brothers deeply, despite the tension he had with them. He is also clever, such as knowing how to play dead to trick his enemies.
Due to years of traveling and soul-searching, Floyd has developed a strong sense of resilience and fortitude, even when undergoing severe physical and mental sufferings.
While having endured many hardships, notably being separated from his brothers and later trapped in a diamond bottle, Floyd remains compassionate, understanding, and even forgiving. Despite his family disappointing him with a huge fallout and Veneer not being true to himself, Floyd gives them time to reflect and change themselves, and always forgives them when they have come to understand their respective mistakes. As long as they don't deny or excuse their own faults, he is willing to help and comfort them when they need him.

Past[]
Floyd was in BroZone along with his brothers John Dory, Spruce, and Clay. He was originally considered the baby of the band until Branch was born, thus Floyd was spared from being considered the baby of the group himself. Though he never shared quite the same opinions and feelings as Spruce and Clay towards John Dory, upon their last concert when everything fell apart, he too departed from BroZone, after realizing that due to BroZone he had to leave to figure out his life. After leaving Branch in the care of Grandma Rosiepuff, he left his leaf vest to Branch and a promise to one day return.
Floyd would later go on a solo career and some soul-searching for himself, presumably travelling to different places during so.
One month at least before the events of Trolls World Tour, Floyd was captured by wannabe superstars Velvet and Veneer, a pair of talentless teenage Mount Rageons. They then proceeded to steal his talent to raise to fame. During this period, he would befriend Crimp, who was in a similar plight as his.
Trolls Band Together[]
Two months after his capture, Floyd was mentioned by John Dory, who learned that he was captured through a bait letter sent by Velvet. This prompted John Dory, Queen Poppy, and Branch to head to Mount Rageous to rescue him.
After two months of being drained, Floyd told the two Rageon siblings that he had almost nothing left for them to use. However, his imploring words fell on death ears of the heartless, narcissistic Velvet, who continued to spray his essence. This soon led to Floyd starting to pale, much to his own horror. He subsequently was appalled and furious with how Velvet proudly relaying to him on having forged his handwriting and sent the bait letter to lure his four brothers for her own benefits. After Velvet ditched Floyd to buy matching yachts with Veneer, Floyd sang the song Lonely People to air his own grievances. He then complimented his friend Crimp, who was also mistreated, regarding her improving ukulele playing skills.
Not long afterwards, Floyd was exploited by Velvet again, being cruelly drained in the shoulder pads that Crimp invented under Velvet's lie of them being smoothie machines. Floyd then spat some sarcasm at how Veneer was too comfortable with his fraudulent riches, before the teen Rageon boy sprayed and tossed him away. He was then shocked to realize Crimp was stuck in the poorly ventilated closet.
Seeing how the teen Rageon siblings were still preparing for the ceremony, Floyd decided to try escaping by pretending to be dead. The siblings immediately fell for his attempt, even though it meant Velvet would go on to shake the bottle with him inside of it. As the siblings got distracted before going to flush him down the toilet, Floyd moved the bottle and rolled away, leading to Velvet ordering Veneer to chase after him. At first, Floyd tried calling for help, but the nearest janitor Rageon failed to hear his cries. Soon, his disadvantageous size resulted in him being recaptured again, as he was no match against Veneer's physical flexibility. There, Floyd realized that the Rageon boy felt that it was impossible to change his circumstances of being abused, so as a plea for help. Floyd tells Veneer that just because Velvet is his sister, doesn't mean he should her treat him like garbage. He also says that siblings or not, Veneer deserves to be treated with kindness and to be around those who would never try to change who he is. But Floyd was then snatched away by Velvet, who knew how to manipulate Veneer with her fake compliment, much to his sadness. Floyd knew the boy's timing of understanding his advice had yet to arrive.
Soon, after his failed escape, Floyd actually got to meet Branch again in years, and he was proud of Branch having become a man of his own. However, this moment was cut short when Velvet and Veneer returned to their room, revealing that they had caught John Dory, Bruce and Clay. As Veneer placed Floyd's two older brothers into the shoulder pads, Floyd knew the teen Rageon boy was going against his own heart, and expressed disappointment on how the kid could do better than this. He and Clay then got placed into Velvet's shoulder pads, and was again drained during the car chase between the two Rageon siblings and Queen Poppy, Branch and Rhonda, who were later followed by Viva, King Gristle Jr., Bridget, and Tiny Diamond. Despite Branch and later Viva's efforts on trying to retrieve Floyd, Velvet still secured Floyd in her grasp for the remainder of the performance. Floyd then got fully drained by the heartless teen Rageon girl for an encore, despite Veneer's plea for her to stop.
Despite being fully drained, Floyd still had enough energy to notice that his brothers, even with three of them in diamond bottles, to perform Better Place. Not wanting their efforts to be in vain, Floyd mustered up his remaining energy to sing with them, which helped himself levitate away from Velvet. Thanks to Veneer restraining Velvet, Floyd was able to join his brothers, but at the expense of sacrificing his own life.
After Floyd lost his life, his four brothers are in shock that he would risk his life for them and heartbroken that they lost their sibling, with Branch crying the most over Floyd's fall. However, through his four brother's life essences and love for him, Floyd is revived, as he weakly asked Branch where they could shower in his bunker, much to his siblings' relief and joy that he is alive. He then watched Veneer confessing their crimes to everyone and calls Velvet out for asking him to change, which isn't ok, family or not. Floyd, who was impressed that Veneer took his advice to heart, smiles and him and the two become friends, despite Veneer still being arrested for his crimes.
Eventually, Floyd would recover steadily, and got to perform with Branch and the rest of BroZone, as well as sisters Queen Poppy and Viva at Vacay Island.
In the end, not only was Floyd finally reunited with his family and made new friends with fellow Trolls, but he had also changed the life of the teen Rageon boy for the better with his forgiveness and friendship.

- Although Floyd is the second youngest, his voice actor is the youngest actor of Branch's brothers.
- Floyd is similar to Tadashi Hamada from Big Hero 6.
- Both who are honorable elder siblings who wants what's best for their youngest siblings, while Branch and Hiro Hamada seems to listen and care for them as the only family they ever known.
