Foxy the Pirate Fox is a major character of the Five Nights at Freddy's episode series of the SML YouTube channel, serving as one of the three secondary antagonists of Five Nights at Freddy’s, a major character in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 and a supporting character in Five Nights at Freddy’s 3. Nevertheless, he's a recurring protagonist in the three episodes SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's!, SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's 2 and SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's 3.
He is a silent animatronic fox who loves to run and do some skateboarding. Despite having not much of a role in his debut besides stalking Jeffy and Brooklyn many times for the fun of it, Foxy is given lots of heroic and noble moments ever since his second appearance.
These include such helpful acts like whacking Marionette with a bat to stop her from strangling Jeffy, additionally saving Brooklyn from being killed by Marionette as well as well as rescuing and saving Marvin's life from Freddy and Bonnie attempting to pull his head off in a game of tug of war in SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's 2), and then beating up Mr. Winkle to save Brooklyn T. Guy and Bowser Junior from being killed by Springtrap in SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's 3).
Biography[]
SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's![]
He is first seen running to the door while Brooklyn and Jeffy were checking the cameras, making them close the door shut. The next time we see him, he is seen doing some flexes and warm up exercises before running up to the security room, making Brooklyn tell Jeffy to close the door again in a hurry. Once Brooklyn and Jeffy escape from the restaurant after Jeffy beats up Bonnie and Chica, and they drive away with Brooklyn's car since Jeffy told Brooklyn that Foxy was chasing him, Foxy is seen running out of the restaurant and pursuing after Brooklyn and Jeffy.
Brooklyn thinks he outran him, but Foxy is then seen popping in the backseat (somehow), jumpscaring Brooklyn by surprise and making Brooklyn yell. But it's then revealed that Foxy wasn't trying to eat Jeffy and Brooklyn like the other animatronics were trying to do, Foxy just wanted to be dropped off to his cousin's house.
SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's 2[]
When Foxy was randomly seen running in the hallway, Marvin is scared and asking who was he, Brooklyn clarifies that it's just Foxy, Brooklyn also mentions how he typically takes Foxy home after work and sometimes smoke a jay with Brooklyn in the car. He is then seen skateboarding in the building since Brooklyn mentions how he wants to be like Tony Hawk one day, and Brooklyn sees him winning in the X games, Brooklyn cheers him on with following his dreams and mentions to Marvin how Foxy doesn't play by the rules.
Later in the video, he is at his most noble when Foxy came in with a bat and whacking Marionette on the head, skulling her for choking Jeffy and right when Brooklyn was asking for help. When Brooklyn mentions how Foxy saved both of them, Brooklyn then asked Foxy if he could retrieve Marvin and save him from Freddy and Bonnie, Foxy nods to him and goes to get his skateboard to flee into the scene (making Brooklyn mention how he can be like Tony Hawk for the mission and cheering Foxy on to go rescue Marvin), which then has Foxy speeding up with his skateboard and grabbing Marvin to save him from getting his head pulled off by Freddy and Bonnie, tricking those two robots and pouncing through them by surprise. As Brooklyn and Jeffy got the keys and left the restaurant again, Foxy returns Marvin back to Jeffy and Brooklyn's car (while Marvian was left traumatized by Freddy, Bonnie and Chica themselves). Brooklyn thanks Foxy for the help, mentions how Foxy's actions were helpful and kindly asked him if he needed a ride home, Foxy shakes his head no and goes skateboarding (meaning he skateboarded home), which made Brooklyn look at him in-awe and see him as someone so cool, he wants to be like him one day (confusing Marvin as well).
SML Movie: Five Nights At Freddy's 3[]
In a flashback Mr. Winkle had with opening up the restaurant years ago, Foxy was treated as a lovable mascot who'd hug the kids while dancing with them at a girl's birthday party event. Which made Mr. Winkle jealous of him and wanting them to hug him in a Springbonnie costume, which led to Mr. Winkle kidnapping all five of them and killing them (which led to Mr. Winkle stuffing the bodies in the robots).
As Mr. Winkle revealed himself to be a part of Springbonnie's body and was going to kill Bowser Junior and Brooklyn on the spot as Springtrap. The two hide in a vent and Brooklyn and Junior nearly get killed by Mr. Winkle for Brooklyn's phone notification going off, Foxy then enters the scene in his skateboard and beats up Mr. Winkle with his skateboard and kicking him to no end.
Junior asks who he is while Brooklyn cheered on Foxy and Brooklyn briefly mentions Foxy being "awesome", Brooklyn then asked Foxy to free them in the vent the two got stuck into. He then helps them get out of the vent, gets thanked by Brooklyn and the latter says to leave the place since there's nothing else to do, Foxy is seen standing there as they leave.
Personality[]
Despite being mute and not having lines, he is depicted as eccentric, calm, athletic, a speedster, and doesn't play by anyone's rules. Despite this, he is actually a very good-hearted person who's not as scary as he appears to be. Brooklyn even acknowledges that Foxy is a cool guy once you get to know him, and he tells Marvin & Rosalina this when they return to Marvin's house in the first video.
In the second video, he is given even a lot more personality than before. Where Foxy is seen doing some skateboarding in a wacky way, Brooklyn tells Marvin that Foxy is skateboarding in the restaurant because he wants to be like Tony Hawk and getting in the X games, making him out to be quirky, mysterious and unpredictable. He is now proven to be rather resourceful and reliable as a ally ever since, as soon as he saw Jeffy being strangled and choked by Marionette, Foxy enters the room and whacks Marionette with a bat by surprise, saving Jeffy and Brooklyn as a necessity. Once Brooklyn asked him to retrieve Marvin from Freddy and Bonnie, he nodded, willingly went to get his skateboard to gain enough momentum to snatch Marvin from Freddy and Bonnie, tricking the two of the robots by surprise to save Marvin's life from getting decapitated by a tug of war (meaning he was willing to save the lives of three people at a haunted restaurant, making him out to be protective when the situation calls it).
He is also a competent fighter since he beats up Springtrap (Mr. Winkle) by using his skateboard and kicking skills to humble Springtrap until he's on the ground, unconscious.
He is sometimes treated as comedic relief in all of his appearances, mainly for the fact he loves to flex and warm up before running like a athlete does in the first video and he loves to do some indoor skateboarding to be just like Tony Hawk in the second video. Both of which are traits that have been played up for laughs, however, his heroic acts are treated as enjoyable moments in badassery.
Even when he rescued Marvin and brought him to Jeffy and Brooklyn in the second video, when he was asked by Brooklyn a ride home for Foxy's noble actions, he didn't want a ride home after he was thanked by Brooklyn and decided to go home by skateboarding. Making Foxy out to be rather selfless and independent as a hero. He's also a paragon (despite being silent) because his actions made Brooklyn admire him and see him as so cool and awe-inspiring as a hero.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Speed: As Brooklyn states in his debut, Foxy can run a 40 yard dash in only three seconds. He was able to catch up with the car Brooklyn was driving while he thought he outran Foxy, much to Brooklyn's surprise.
- Trickery: In the second video, he was able to effectively sneak attack Marionette with a bat and stop her from killing Jeffy with strangling when Brooklyn was desperately calling out for help. To make things better, he was able to use his top-notch skateboarding skills, to speed up and snatch Marvin from Freddy and Bonnie from trying to pull his head off, outsmarting the both of them to save Marvin and retrieving Marvin back to Brooklyn and Jeffy.
- Skateboarding: He can use his skateboard without fail.
- Fighting skills: He can use his skills in trickery or even skateboarding to use as a form of combat. He used a bat to brutally whack Marionette with a bat and in his third appearance, he skateboards up to Mr. Winkle (as Springtrap) to whack him with it and kick him until Mr. Winkle became unconscious.
