Francis is a character from Oliver & Company.
Francis was voiced by the late Roscoe Lee Browne.
Francis is a Bulldog of Fagin's dogs. Winston Churchill, whose appearance was often compared to being like a bulldog, is who his character is loosely based on. Thus he has an upper-class London accent, is very sophisticated, and enjoys theatre and the arts, and especially acting.
Francis is a British bulldog, often seen speaking with a British or Old English accent like a Shakespearean actor since he has a passion for theatres, and the arts. Likewise, he is cultured, cunning, friendly and loyal, as well as the one tasked with missions that require a thorough understanding of humans, like feigning death to distract Winston.
- Francis greatly resembles Bull from Lady and the Tramp as both are the same breed.
