Francis Pope is the deuteragonist of the Big Nate series.
He is an eleven year old boy who lives with his parents in Rackleff, Maine, USA. Francis is a kind, intelligent and loyal friend to Nate Wright and student at P.S.38, who is blond haired, fair skinned and wears glasses and a green sweater with his initial on it.
Francis will support Nate with what he does almost always, even if he thinks Nate shouldn't, and is rather polite to Nate, unlike how Nate is to Francis. He also is very smart and gets high marks and grades on all his subjects.
