After promising Shane he'll start exercising and accompany her on her school's hiking trip, Frank goes to give his daughter her lunch.

"On second thought..."-Frank being controlled by Mayor Phlegmming from inside his brain.
"Perhaps, I will take a cold pill."
Frank disconnecting Shane's phone call to the doctor.
Frank proceeding to take a cold pill to help with his illness.
The next day, Frank works at the zoo with his brother, Bob.
Frank and Bob being mocked by their coworkers.
"We're dumb and they're talking to the camels."
Frank talking to Bob.
"Getting out of town?"
Frank hearing Bob plans to spend some quality time with his wife and kids.
(Bob: "What's that smell?") "That's Bruno. His tummy's still upset."
Frank hearing Bob say he's smelling something sweaty and swanky.
"Oh, that's my daughter Shane. She won't buy me deodorant anymore. She says it causes cancer."
Frank and Bob greeting Shane when she arrives at the zoo.
Frank asking Shane if her teacher, Mrs. Boyd will be at the school hike.
(Shane: "Um, yeah. My whole class is. Why?") " I don't know. I was just thinking I might take a rain check."
"No, it-- I didn't think so. I was just-- we could find something better to do. You know, yesterday, without thinking, I did all my hiking for the week. I hiked to the liquor store, I hiked to the cigarette warehouse..."
(Shane: "But, Dad, you said-") " I said I was gonna think about it. It's a holiday weekend. The important thing is that we're together, right?"
"Yeah. Well, I, uh... I have something very special up my sleeve."
Frank seeing Bob come to his aid to distract Shane.
Frank and Bob distracting Shane with the idea of seeing a rattlesnake swallowing a football.
Frank worried on what he should he plan to do with Shane, knowing he can't do the school hike because of Mrs. Boyd's restraining order.

Frank listening to the boy describe his project how he replanted polluted oysters.
"Can you eat them?"
"You got yourself a deal."
Frank eating one of the boy's oysters.
"All right. You might wanna check your math on that one."-Frank after eating the oyster.
Frank meeting Shane's science and P.E. teacher, Mrs. Boyd.
"Well, if you mean that, I'm gonna keep her."
Frank smiling as Mrs. Boyd laughs.
Frank as Mrs. Boyd laughs at his joke.
After Mrs. Boyd calms down, Frank listens to her talk to him.
Frank being asked by Mrs. Boyd if his daughter ever told him what she wants to do when she grows up.
"No kidding. You mean like a concierge or something?"
(Mrs. Boyd: "No, no. Like poor people.") "Oh, yeah, she told me that."
Frank and Mrs. Boyd talking about how the death of his wife has been affecting Shane.
Frank assuring Mrs. Boyd that Shane will be okay.
Frank starting to feel sick.
"Those oysters."
Frank hearing Mrs. Boyd explain the boy who did the oyster project is academically slow.
Frank starting to feel nauseous.
Frank being asked by Mrs. Boyd if he's okay.
Frank starting to gag.
Frank about to puke all over Mrs. Boyd.
Frank having vomited all over Mrs. Boyd, humiliating himself in the process.

"I beg your pardon, is that how you treat the handicapped in Docky's?"
"I have a chronic ingrown toe condition, and doctors say it's only a short time before I won't be able to wear even the roomiest of footwear."
"Look, would you bring some clam strips and some steamers when you come, too, please? Thank you."
(Shane: "So, Dad, what's the big surprise?") "Well, I know you wanted to go on a trip this weekend, so... ta-da!"
Frank having given Shane a brochure of a wing festival taking place in Buffalo, New York.
(Shane: "Oh. Yeah, great. So, what's the big surprise?") "We got tickets!"
"Look! 99 kinds of wings. 128 different dipping sauces. You love math. Crunch the numbers on that and tell me the possibilities are infinite."
"Look! Look! Here you are. Ms. Chicken Wing Festival. See this? He's the champion. But he won't be for long. Because I'm coming. I'm coming-- I'm coming to get you, baby."
"Fun?"
Frank beginning to have second thoughts due to Leah Estrogen acting as his conscience.
Frank being told by Leah to come up with a way to do the hiking trip with Shane to make her happy.
Frank cringing.
"Oh, gee... oh, it's this damn toe."
"Do me a favor, huh? Don't you get old. Listen to the toe. Don't you get old."
The next day, Frank drives his car.
Frank singing as he listens to car radio play music.
Having arrived at Shane's school, Frank knocks on the door of Mrs. Boyd's classroom.
"I need to talk you."
Frank watching Mrs. Boyd come out of her classroom.
Frank with a zit on his forehead.
"I want you to help me."
(Mrs. Boyd: "You want me to call the cops? Or maybe Shane would like to know about the 200-yard restraining order that's still in effect.") "Please, we can't do that. She's been humiliated enough already."
Frank hearing Mrs. Boyd angrily blame him for ruining her life by turning her and her children into laughingstocks.
"I know your daughter Hurly had to transfer schools."
(Mrs. Boyd: "Shirley. My daughter's name is Shirley.") "Oh, that is much prettier. Tom Brokaw called her Hurly."
Frank trying to make a joke to brighten the mood between him and Mrs. Boyd.
"We got to get this water underneath our bridge as soon as possible, for Shane's sake."
Frank startled when Mrs. Boyd angrily orders her students to get to work on their assignments.
"I just want you to lift this restraining order for this weekend, so I can do this father-daughter trip."
(Mrs. Boyd: "The answer is no, Mr. Detorre.") "Please."
"Think about it overnight. It would make a little girl very happy."
"Uh, you got something white on your lips."
Frank noticing his zit had popped on its own where its pus landed on Mrs. Boyd's lips.
Frank being ordered by an enraged and disgusted Mrs. Boyd to leave.
Frank tending to his forehead as he hears Mrs. Boyd angrily refusing to lift her restraining order against him.
Frank leaving the school after failing to make amends with Mrs. Boyd.
Later that night, Frank and Shane sit in their living room.
Frank hearing Shane refusing to go to Buffalo with him.
Frank hearing how deliberate Shane is on attending her school hiking trip.
(Shane: "I'd really like you to come.") "No. No, no. No, no, no, I- You don't want me huffing and puffing after you. If you want to go camping, Okay, I'll- I know I can get uncle Bob to go with me in Buffalo."
Frank hearing Shane angrily argue how it's not fair that she always does what he wants and that he doesn't do what she wants.
"I think about you all the time."
(Shane: "So, were you thinking about me when you packed me a fried Slim Jim sandwich for lunch?") "Yeah, it was a turkey Slim Jim!"
"Will you knock off that hamburger talk? Come here, honey."
Frank trying to comfort Shane over her mom's death, reminding her she was sick when she died.
Frank hearing Shane angrily call him out for not putting in a lot of effort in improving his health ever since her mom died.
Frank as Shane angrily runs upstairs after their argument.
Frank depressed over Shane's resentment and with how his life turned out due to being a laughingstock and his wife's death.
