Frank Vega is the protagonist of the movie, BadAss. He is a Vietnam veteran who becomes a local hero after saving a man from attackers on a city bus and decides to take action when his best friend is murdered and the police show little interest in solving the crime.
Overview
Frank Vega is a Vietnam vet living in Los Angeles who finds himself on a bus one day when a couple of skinheads jump on and start harassing a senior citizen. Frank's protection of the man with his impressive moves earns him the respect of the media and city. He just wants to be left alone and go on with his quiet life, but his friend died in tragic events, causing him to seek vengeance to those who was responsible.
Personality
Frank is quite merciless and violent to his enemies, as he beats a bunch of people up, blows up a garage, probably killing two guys in the process, smashes a statue, several cars and parking meters, an entire glass lobby and wrecks a city bus. However, despite his ruthless behavior, he is incredibly nice and helpful to just about everyone, and he even gives people who want to fight him at least one chance to back down before giving them a beatdown. In general, Frank has a very strong sense of justice, as he tries to keep the city safe from crime rate.
