Heroine Overview

You listen, and you listen good. I work hard. REAL hard. I get one - two nights, tops - off a month from this place, and the last thing I need is a mischief-making smart-ass like you getting in my way! GOT IT?
~ Frankie threatens Bloo in S3E4.
Frankie, Frankie, Frankie! She's ugly, fat, and skanky!

Frankie, Frankie, Frankie! She's mean and old and cranky!
Frankie, Frankie, Frankie! Her mind's an utter blanky!
Frankie, Frankie, Frankie! She never says 'please' or 'thank ye'!
Frankie, Frankie, Frankie! She deserves a spanking!
Frankie, Frankie, Frankie! She once robbed a banky!
Herriman, Herriman, Herriman! He's a very merry man!
Herriman, Herriman, Herriman! He's not at all a scary man!
Herriman, Herriman, Herriman! He's got a golden, manly tan!
Herriman, Herriman, Herriman! Let's all vote for Herriman!
Also, Frankie is dumb.

~ Bloo's presidential song.

Francis "Frankie" Foster (b. 25th July, 1984) is the deuteragonist of the Cartoon Network series, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. She helps the house of the imaginary friends, and a caretaker. Mac has a crush on her.

She is voiced by Grey Griffin, who also voices Duchess, Goo, Berry, Mac's mother, Fluffer Nutter, and Eurotrish in the same series, as well as Daphne Blake in the Scooby-Doo franchise, Kitty Katswell in T.U.F.F. Puppy, and Lana, Lola and Lily Loud in The Loud House.

Overview[]

Frankie is Madame Foster's 22-year-old red-headed granddaughter. Her parents are never seen in the series. Frankie is the caregiver at Foster's and helps keep everything in order. In spite of Mr. Herriman's fussiness and fixation with rules and cleanliness, she is usually very friendly, outgoing and laid-back. Frankie is friends with most of the imaginary friends at Foster's (particularly Wilt, Eduardo, Coco, and Bloo) and can be described as a protective big sister to them.

Appearance[]

Frankie is a young Caucasian woman with pale skin and shoulder-length red hair, which she generally ties into a spiky ponytail. According to her driver's license, her eyes are green. She usually wears a white midriff top, exposing her navel, with red trim on the collar and sleeve ends, as well as minimalistic symbols on the front depicting the three Powerpuff Girls. Her outfit also consists of an unzipped long-sleeved green hoodie, a dark purple miniskirt, golden orange socks, and blue-and-white trainers. She also wears a purple hair clip, a thin black choker around her neck, and multiple piercings in her ears.

Trivia[]

  • She is of Scottish descent.
  • Frankie's full name uses the male spelling. The female spelling is "Frances".
  • The only episodes where she appears but does not speak are "Partying is Such Sweet Soiree" and "Eddie Monster".
  • Frankie has five different outfits: her regular clothes, her purple party outfit, her black dress, her green dress, and her Blossom costume.
  • According to her driver's license in "Bus the Two of Us", she was born on 25/07/1984, and is 22 as of "Frankie My Dear" (S2E6). Moreover, "Go Goo Go" (S3E7) takes place in June. Therefore, FHFIF takes place in 2007, and Frankie is most likely 23 during seasons 4-6.
  • Many fans of the show theorized that Frankie is actually Madame Foster's imaginary friend due to some of their similarities, such as their clothing design. However, Craig McCracken disproved this in a tweet as "both Madame Foster and Frankie are real people, not Imaginary Friends".
  • She unintentionally resembles Roxinaou Ishi, another redhead Grey DeLisle voiced.
