Fraw Bow is one of the crew members aboard the Earth Federation White Base and one of the main protagonists of Mobile Suit Gundam.
She was voiced by Rumiko Ukai and Misato Fukuen in the Japanese version, and by Melissa Fahn, Kristie Marsden, Alexandra Carter, Kristin Nowosad and Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld in the English version.
History[]
Mobile Suit Gundam[]
Fraw was originally one of the civilians living in Side 7. She lived with her mother and was the neighbor of Amuro Ray, whom she was close friends with. When the colony was attacked by Zeon forces under the command of Char Aznable, Fraw tragically lost her mother and grandfather after they were killed in an explosion caused by a shot from a Zaku. She was later evacuated out of the colony and onto White Base along with the rest of the civilians of Side 7 after the colony's hull was damaged in the fighting between the Zakus and the RX-78 Gundam (piloted by Amuro).
On board the White Base, Fraw served as a voluntary crew member as the ship was short staffed due to the large number of Federation personnel lost in the attack on Side 7. She also took care of orphans that had been taken aboard White Base and served as a surrogate mother to them.
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam[]
After the war ended, Fraw married Hayato Kobayashi and adopted the three orphans she had cared for on White Base with him.
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ[]
While she does not appear in the series, she is tragically widowed when Hayato is killed by Neo Zeon ace Rakan Dahkaran during the Battle of Dublin.
