Fred Radcliff was a United States Army Sergeant prior to the Great War. He is a squad-mate with Captain Fields and Sergeant Thompson.
He is voiced by Ike Amadi.
Background[]
Fred enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Resource Wars. He was immediately sent to the front lines. He states himself that he only survived was because of his squad-mates watching his back. He at one point lost a toe to frostbite. He is the technical expert of the group. The squad was part of original team responsible for moving the gold reserves from Fort Knox to Vault 79. They were unfortunately locked out and wandered around, but staying close to Appalachia. They came back upon hearing it was safe enough to return. On the way, they went to the Pitt and tried to save citizens, but failed. Radcliff considered retiring afterwards, but decided not to when he heard military remnants were in Appalachia, such as Taggerdy's Thunder, consisting of Lieutenant Elizabeth Taggerdy and her Army Rangers. On there way they met up with the Settlers. Radcliff meet up with the Vault Dweller in a ransacked bunker that had belonged to the Free States to talk about using the gold reserves to make a new economy in Appalachia. Radcliff assists the Vault Dweller in getting the specialty tools to assist in disabling turrets, paying a visit to the Appalachia RobCo facility to enlist the aid of one of their employees whose brain had been preserved for placing in a Robobrain's body. Radcliff is one of people in the basement of Freddy Fear's House Of Scares who will join on breaking into Vault 79. During the heist Radcliff, Jen, and Penelope Hornwright break into the vault, with Radcliff using the RobCo tools to deal with the automated turret defenses, upon which feral ghouls will attack, though depending on the RobCo tools acquired, the turrets will deal with them on their own. Radcliff will help with killing any stragglers. After finding the Secret Service survivors, Radcliff will assist with restarting the reactor, lifting the lockdown to rescue the agents. Radcliff and rest of his squad return to Foundation afterwards.
