Dominic Mndawe aka Freedom Beast, now assuming the mantle of South Africa's emissary for Global Guardian, stepping into the shoes of Mike Maxwell as the new B'Wanna Beast.

Dominic Mndawe was born in South Africa and came of age during the apartheid era. His life took a dramatic turn when he was arrested for documenting violent acts committed by white Afrikaner police officers driven by racial motives. Facing imminent danger in his cell, Dominic was unexpectedly rescued by Animal Man and the retired B'Wana Beast, who would soon become his mentor.
Seeking to pass on his legacy, B'Wana Beast entrusted Dominic with the mystical elixir and helmet that bestowed upon him the power to merge minds and animals. Together with Animal Man, Dominic thwarted the imminent massacre of a peaceful demonstration orchestrated by the very Afrikaner police force that had targeted him earlier. Moved by Dominic's courage and potential, the former B'Wana Beast remained in Africa to guide him in mastering his newfound abilities.

- Superhuman Strength: After drinking the filtered rainwater, Dominic gained superhuman strength surpassing that of a normal man, capable of lifting and pressing over 2 tons, akin to an adult gorilla.
