Freedom Fighters, also known as Resistance, is the main heroic organization of the TV Show, Sonic Underground. It is an organization of rebel fighters opposing the reign of the Robotnik Empire under the leadership of the prophesied, but as yet unformed Council of Four, consisting of Queen Aleena Hedgehog and her children Sonic, Sonia, and Manic.
Background[]
After Dr. Robotnik's takeover of Mobius to overthrow the doctor and his dictatorship, the Freedom Fighters banded together to found this group. Rather than working as a single group with one headquarters, several free Freedom Fighter cells spread across Mobius to defend their local domains, though much of their activity was centered around Robotropolis. Another headquarters was the secret village, Sanctuary, known only to the Freedom Fighters, and where they could have children there, which Robotnik detested. The organization was originally led by Queen Aleena Hedgehog, remained hidden from Robotnik, Uncle Chuck took care of Sonic until the right age to return.
