| “ | It’s said that a Dragon of Water once resided in Fontaine. Though we don’t know where the dragon went, every time it weeps, the skies will cloud up and pour out rain. | „ |
| ~ Freminet’s prophecy of the Hydro Dragon |
Freminet Snezhevich is a recurring and playable character from Genshin Impact. Despite his skill and experience as a professional diver, Freminet prefers to stay out of the spotlight, content to simply carry out orders and find peace next to the Tidalga and Romaritime Flowers undes. He also enjoys tinkering mechanical objects in his spare time.
He is voiced by Jinli in Chinese (who also voiced Lyney Snezhevich in the same game), Lee Joo-Seung in Korean, Paul Castro Jr. in English (who also voiced Rindo Kanade in NEO: The World Ends With You), and Shun'ichi Toki in Japanese. Toki also voiced Akane Aoi in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun and Jhin Syulargun in Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World.
Appearance[]
Freminet has gray-blue eyes, dark navy eyelashes, pale, freckled skin, and pale blonde hair. His hair is choppy and neck length. Part of his bangs cover his left eye. He wears a black beret with gold decorations, a black diving suit that terminates in shorts, and a dark blue sailor-style top with gold buttons, gold detailing, and large white folded cuffs, as well as a large white collar with a blue-and-gold bow. He wears fingerless gloves with golden details, a small brown bag attached to a gold metal loop around his right thigh, and medium-length black lace-up boots with heavy metal details. Underwater, Freminet wears a black-colored antique diving helmet. At his back, he bears a mechanical device attached by a series of straps to his top. His Pneuma-aligned Cryo Vision sits on his left thigh, and is attached to his shorts by a strap.
Personality[]
Compared to his adoptive siblings Lyney and Lynette, Freminet is introverted, finding it very hard to speak with people he deems talkative. Freminet enjoys diving, finding the ocean a way to get away from the stress and express his feelings. Freminet has poor self-esteem, as he frequently believes himself to be useless outside of anything other than diving and tinkering with clockworks. He is also very emotional, as he once once dove underwater to cry after being scolded. He is also notably bad at lying.
He is attached to his mechanical penguin, Pers, whom he hopes to modify so that it could fly one day. He also has an attachment to his diving helmet, which he kept even after acquiring his Vision as it allows him to block off outside noise and makes him feel safe.

Etymology[]
- Freminet may be named after Sieur Fréminet, the inventor of the diving suit using an air reservoir.
- The name of Freminet's clockwork penguin, Pers, comes from the French word pers, an adjective used to describe blue-green eyes, which fits with its actual eye color.
