Fuutarou Uesugi is the main protagonist of The Quintissential Quintuplets anime and manga series.
Fuutarou is a student of the Asahiyama High School and currently lives with his father, Isanari Uesugi, and his younger sister, Raiha Uesugi, in a small apartment.
He comes off as a serious and hardworking high school student. Fuutarou takes up the offer to tutor and support the Nakano quintuplets, despite his family's perpetual poverty.
He is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka in Japanese and Jessie James Grelle in English. As a young, he is voiced by Mutsumi Tamura in Japanese and Terri Doty in English.
Personality[]
Fuutarou used to be similar to his father, Isanari Uesugi when he was a child with their wild personality and being really terrible when it comes to studying. Some people comment about that Fuutarou is often like that, trying to not associate with everyone. His expression on his face is usually always serious, sometimes having a grouchy and annoyed look, and blushes or gets flustered on rare occasions. He starts to become more of a study freak and grows more opinionated and asocial as he grows older.
Fuutarou is noted to be an egomaniac and high confidence. He can also be rude, straightforward and tackless but, can actually be capable of holding back his emotions. He initially dislikes getting involved with other people's problems and finding them to be troublesome. Despite being a jerk and his tactlessness, he can be knowledgeable enough in knowing what to say in any specific situation when thrown at him as he rarely gives up when he tries to achieve a specific objective.
